Six students from Barcelona make an “era” less than a year
Six young students at the University of Pompeo Fabra met Barcelona and realized that they worked well together. The result of this synergy is the COLCTIU Vigília, which was formed by Clara Seriro Lino, Gerard Simo Jimino, Laura Coromainas Sobelt, our countryside and Eddamoulins Abad, Laura Serra Solie and Bau Vall Catutit. In challenging the pace of the ice industry usually for the first time, the collective manufactures its first feature through the graduation project that turned into a festival in the “imminent era”.
Playing in the side ribbon that was made in Spain at the San Sebastian Film Festival, “The Agency” is an intimate look at the 18 -year -old Bruneo’s life (Michael Mass Martinez), whose young pulse stands and longing in a contradiction with the only responsibility of his 86 -year -old grandfather, Nati Nati). The film was nominated for the best new director in the Gaudí Awards, and won the Best Spanish Screenplay at the Gijón Festival, and a special male at the CORK Festival. The film is produced by Ringo Media. Outplay movies deal with sales.
Talk to diverse Before San Sebastian, Catutit, both the film’s producer and cinema, says that teamwork was “naturally”. “This film was originally a university project, which was later produced with a production company and some other traditional means, but it came from that environment. Although it was not a way to go to move forward, we have always adopted this cooperative process of giving each other and participating this collective creative force between us.”
Regarding how they work as a logistical logistical, the decision was to divide the roles between them so that they could “perform all of them” effectively “with” the participation of part of the creative power that belongs to the entire group. “” It was a balance between following a common approach to our movie with our effective methodology so that the film can work in the long run. “
When asked if they intend to continue working under the same form, I said that I was not sure of that yet, because this was not considered in their mind during the production of the movie. “What we know with certainty is that we will continue to cooperate because we know that we are working well. We are not sure if we will continue to produce movies in the same way that we did this movie.”
Llorens, who fell on the direction, also confirmed how they worked to produce the film very quickly, in less than a year. “This was only possible because our financing strategy was very simple. We only had one box, a regional box, and we got it properly when we were about to start shooting.”
“We thought that the film would be made from or without traditional financing structures,” I repeated. “When we got the money, we already started filming, although it was less resources. I think most of the film makers do not have this luxury. We got it because we are collectively, we just got out of the university and did not face the same pressure.
Creators explained a point to highlight the current Catalan and Spanish cinema, saying that universities like Pompeo Fabra allows creative freedom to enhance real talents. The two are also due to the ease of access to regional funds as a great fan. “People who have not been able to reach funding before are now more likely to be able to finance their films,” Kaghtit added.
Regarding the process of making the movie itself, Capdet says that one of the great challenges was working with an actor in Fernández where they had to move in the complications of that relationship on both sides. Fernandez was the neighbor of a group member and was chosen for the part because of its similarities with Nati. Once the initial conversations came out, the Sheikh was “very open to the direction and very flexible. “She also wanted to enjoy, and to be with young people and make the most of it.”
In terms of the tone of the “imminent era”, everyone who suffers and and the Lorne says that they want to have a certain “accuracy”. The product explains that they want “to have a distance that allows the spectator to have their own opinions about what was happening.”
When photographing more intimate scenes depicting the care process between Bruno and Nati, Llorens says they are “difficult”. “We did not want to get anything I felt deprived because the bodies are bodies, but, at the same time, we wanted Antonia to feel comfortable. We only offered the camera what was comfortable appearing on the camera. We did not have the intimate relationship coordinator, but we had a lot of conversations, and the final decision was her salary.”
As for what I learned from the “imminent era”, the director is mice: “Just because the film is made by a collective, this does not mean that it will not have a good direction or direction. Various sounds can join somehow and become an interesting tool.”
