Advantages of GP reservation systems online GPS

The important point about uncomplicated GP dates is that they do not need sorting-if the patient wants to see an initial care doctor because of routine attention, they can do this, whatever the problem.

The number of routine openings is still as it is, and allowing people to book them online will reduce, not an increase, the burden of work by editing reception staff for other officials’ tasks, and facilitating access to the phone to obtain urgent dates. They are urgent requests, not those routine, which need to be sorted.

The big problem in primary care is the incompatibility between demand and ability, not how to book appointments. Health policy interventions by the government, which logical is very rare. This is one of them.

I have no concerns about reserving an GP app via the Internet via sorting, as I adopted my practice a while ago. The practice came out of the “Care Navigator” system, which worked well, to the current method online. Through both roads, my experience was exceptional, with responses sometimes within 90 minutes, and directions to attend the same day to see a medical doctor or advanced practitioner, to receive a prescription in a local pharmacy, or to obtain advice via text or phone. Initial access by phone is still present for those who are unable to use the new method.

Online system creates better targeted dates, which means that a suitable number of doctors can be re -customized to serve the sorting system. The use of emotional language by the British Medical Association, such as “Tsunami” and “Wabel” in anticipating the effect of online reservation, is not useful or accurate. Teaching and strong support for patients will help more.
