Donors at the University of California, Los Angel

Martin Garmond is not a particularly common character these days.

Some frustrated fans of the football team are expected to wear a “Fire Jarmond” football shirts “Fire Jarmond” in blue and gold to the Saturday match in Rose Bowl against Penn State. A group organized a plane banner to travel over the stadium before the match, with a similar message addressed to the besieged Bruins Sports Director.

Grievances list is a long list, which leads a group of nearly ten high -level donors to reach times about what they claim to be a pattern of outbreak functional defect within the sports section that much exceeds sudden recruitment and rapid rejection of the Deshaun Foster football coach on September 14 after only 15 games.

Among other things, the donors also questioned Jarmond, the image and similarity strategy, and high spending despite years of huge deficit in the sports section and the lack of shooting on Chip Kelly Coach amid SUBPAR results.

“What is happening now seems to see a train wreckage in a slow movement,” said Scott Tretsky, a donor ticket holder and the season for more than two decades. “What we see is not just a approximate area. It is the institutional indifference. If the administration does not care, then why should fans and trainees?

“This is not an unusual fans who speak. I rarely miss a game. I have invested time, money and emotion for decades, and now, it seems that the people who run the offer do not share the same investment. This program can flourish. It has history, fans base, resources, but it needs to lead with courage and a real plan.

One of the mistakes worsened a question whether the operations within the Jarmond Sports section are worse than they appeared at the surface level.

Ten days before a group of donors left a trip to watch the soccer team at the University of California in Los Angeles, Utah in 2023, an email message was sent to determine the flight line with an unexpected attachment – a database that reveals personal information and spending habits for the largest supporter of the sports section.

The domestic address, email address and the Bruins Aikman Football Legend. Separate columns included lifelong and a wooden sport box for more than 200 senior donors, such as Casey Wasserman, Wallis Annenberg, with each donor, a priority number was set at the level of their generosity.

The donor, who did not want to publish his name due to the sensitivity of the data on the spreadsheet, told the Times in which he spoke with others who were equal in receiving such information to disclose in the email from a co -manager to collect donations that were not accustomed to the University of California in Los Angeles.

There was no apology or more communication along with an e -mail follow -up from the assistant sports director who sent 26 minutes after the first time, simply remember the message. A spokesman for the Sports Department at the University of California in Los Angeles refused to comment on the accident, other than saying that the employee participating in the unauthorized distribution of information and his direct supervisor is no longer working at the university.

“I assume something like that where they knew what happened, they must do something like saying,” I am very sorry, this was an internal work file, and we do everything we can “to correct it. Just something,” said the donor who received information. “If you want to offer something to tell Akman, I have information to do this.”

Soon after the reporting of Jarmond and another employee in the sports department that the Times was writing about the Jarmond administration of the sports department, five donors called to speak on behalf of Jarmond. They cited the financial restrictions that prevented the sports director from shooting Kelly, and the employment of Foster as his attempt to achieve the best in a bad situation and the belief that Jarmond could help raise the resources needed to employ a more successful alternative.

Other donors have already decided that they were abandoning the great giving.

As a result of his dissatisfaction with the way the sports administration is conducting, one of the donors who were about to join the 1919 community, who recognized those who have given at least a million dollars, said he abandoned this endeavor.

Part of his dissatisfaction with a dinner conversation with Jarmond in Tuccon Steakouse before he played California University in Los Angeles Arizona in October 2021. He was asked to share the moment of favorite sport at the University of California in Los Angeles, the donor said that the football team won three Rose Bulls and “Viesta Powell” while he was in the early eighties of Last century.

According to the donors and two others on the table, Garmond called the unrealistic donor expectations and said that historically, the University of California in Los Angeles won seven to eight games per year, indicating that these are expectations to move forward.

In response to a question about the exchange, Garmond said that “without going into the details of my conversations with any individual, my intended message whenever I grow up in this topic is that the strains in university football are increasingly rare. In today’s environment, with the implementation of revenue sharing, there can be no goal in success, but this does not mean that this is important.

Many donors questioned the commitment to confusion in the Jarmond’s Athletic section.

He said that after one of the donors presented a great contribution to nothing, nothing was mixed with a high -level athletic official who told him that it is better to spend his money in going to the wooden sports box that supports the entire section. Jarmond’s donors criticized the lack of urged Kelly to do more to support the efforts of the football team, which led to the team’s delay in its counterparts, and was also slow to recognize and support the Westwood men, NIL efforts in UCLA.

Many donors said that the University of California in Los Angeles was offended from the beginning, using small initiatives such as Westwood Exchange as an alternative to helping Bruins to stay more competitive with other schools that understood that payment for play was an acceptable practice. Once the revenue is shared this summer, which allowed the school to pay athletes directly, the University of California in Los Angeles has increased the importance of a strong program nothing although it is widely believed that the new model will eventually resemble the old model.

Jarmond referred to the UCLA partnership with Nil Agency Article 41 to enhance the personal brands of athletes and the presence of social media as evidence of the school’s commitment to be present in the front of space.

“We will be presented from the following [football] The coach with resources and financial investment we have not done before, completely frankly.

The University of California in Los Angeles won six championships in NCAA under the monitoring of Jarmond and published conference titles last season more than any other Big Ten team. It is also expected that the transition to Big Ten will provide additional revenues to help stabilize the financial affairs of the Ministry, which required a university rescue plan and attracted sharp reprimand from the Executive Council of the School’s Academic Council after its operation 219.55 million dollars in red during the past six years.

Jim Bine, a ticket holder for the basketball season for men and fans for a long time, said that the sports director faced some unique challenges that restrict his success in the football program.

“I have some sympathy for Jarmond,” said Boat. “Money should have been a problem when it could have been said that Kelly should have been released immediately after the 23th season.

“Because football is the cash cow, this is the great focus. I say this advertisement is another opportunity to get this correctly. The biggest rental will be done ever, and he must get it correctly this time.”

However, Jarmond’s criticism is increasing with a louder voice and fermentation for years.

Previous concerns included a lack of communication when UCLA suddenly withdrew from the 2021 holiday container on Covid-19, only related to a few hours before the match started. North Carolina coach Dave Doren criticized Broenos due to the lack of transparency about their position in the list that prevented Wolfak from a backup plan, saying: “We felt lying and be honest.”

Garmond said he was giving priority to the health and safety of the players, and Bruins had every intention to play if they could do so responsibly.

Just one month later, Jarmond faced a violent reaction to being slow to go into a controversy involving a racist spectrum used by a member of the gymnast team. Jarmond met with the team only after Margzetta Frazier and Norah Flatley to ask for his help, and Frazier later described a statement that Jarmond issued it on the situation as “discharge” based on the response of the sports management as a “performance” scandal.

Perhaps Jarmond’s biggest challenge was a weak -performance football team that drew low crowds in Rose Bowl.

FOOSTER FOSER Rapid, a little more than a new season, led to a new opening within the sports section while leading a growing group of donors and fans to claim another. I collected a petition to resign Jarmond or remove it more than 1400 signatures and signature of Billboard Mobile Westwood last week with messages like “UCLA Football worth Fire Fire Ad Martin Jarmond” and “acquisition of $ 7 million to the UCla?

According to the terms of extension of the contract he signed in May 2024 – at a time when the University of California in Los Angeles was moving from the mass of its expired genes to the back, Julio Frenk – Garmond, will be 45 years old, worth approximately $ 7.1 million, or the full amount of the remaining contract that extends until June 30, 2029, if terminated for no reason.

“No one has done more to catch the legacy of football at the University of California, Los Angeles, more than Martin Garmond,” said Ryan Bernard, one of the organizers of the mobile advertising plate. “From his inability to shoot the Chip Kelly to his unjustified rental, the slow -run coach who left as a head coach, was the performance of Jarmond Abysmal.”
