FBI Fires Agents After Investigation Reveals Surveillance Of GOP Senators – Twitchy
As Fox News reported on Monday, former special counsel Jack Smith has been tracking the private communications and phone calls of nearly a dozen Republican senators as part of his investigation into January 6. Doug Powers collected the reactions of some senators to “Biden’s Stacy” spying on them, in the words of Senator Josh Hawley. Senator Chuck Grassley posted: “This document shows that Biden’s FBI spied on eight of my Senate Republican colleagues during its Arctic Frost ‘election conspiracy’ investigation.” Arctic Frost later became Jack Smith’s election case against Trump. “FBI arming Biden = worse than Watergate,” Grassley added. Much worse than Watergate; It doesn’t even make sense to use “-gate” to refer to scandal anymore.
The problem for angry X users was: What would the Trump administration do about it? Many people assumed it would be dropped and faded away, but FBI Director Kash Patel says he has already taken action.
They traced the communications of GOP senators. They have used law enforcement as a weapon against the American people. This era is over.
We expelled those who behaved unethically, dismantled the corrupt CR-15 squad, and launched an investigation.

Rachel Wolfe and Brooke Singhman a report For Fox News:
The FBI has already terminated staff and eliminated the CR-15 squad just one day after it was revealed that the private communications and phone calls of several Republicans were tracked.
FBI Director Kash Patel on Tuesday announced actions the bureau has taken in response to revelations of “baseless surveillance” during the Biden administration and promised more action in the future.
“We are cleaning up a sick temple that has been three decades in the making — identifying the corrupt, removing those who have used law enforcement for political purposes and those who do not meet the standards of this mission while restoring integrity to the FBI,” Patel said in a statement to Fox News Digital. “I promised reform, and I intend to deliver.”
…
CR-15 was the public corruption unit of the FBI’s Washington Field Office. The squad helped former Special Counsel Jack Smith investigate President Donald Trump, according to NBC News, which cited sources familiar with the matter.

The FBI’s Public Corruption Unit seems a bit corrupt. Well, it seems. According to Patel, it has been dismantled. Cattell posted Tuesday morning:
Transparency is important and accountability is crucial. We both promised, and so it looks like promises kept. This FBI delivers.

We have terminated staff, abolished the CR-15 Armed Forces, and initiated an ongoing investigation with further accountability measures to come.

So when will the people who allowed this illegal, corrupt and predatory scheme go to prison?
This is real accountability.

almost? Separation is a good start, but the public wants more accountability.
Fired? Prosecute them criminally.

It’s all good but will @AGPamBondi Arrest anyone?
I think we all know the answer.Without real consequences, it doesn’t stop.

We need arrests. Lots of them. No one will believe that anything has changed until the outcasts are touched.

If you do not prosecute those who gave the orders, then everything is in vain

Charge those responsible and try them in an open court.

Step 2 of the mandate is prosecutions. Please make the appropriate referral for criminal prosecutions to our Attorney General as soon as possible to avoid running the statute of limitations. We are waiting for the promise of “accountability” to be fulfilled. We are counting on you. -VJ

Accountability in this case requires trials. Anything less, and they do it again at the first chance they get.

Pam Bondi must prosecute and imprison these lawbreakers and make an example of them or it will happen again.

We congratulate Patel for taking quick action, but this cannot end just by firing him. We, the people, need to see some indictments.
