Our Favorite Prime Day Deals on Cold-Weather Home Essentials (2025)
Unfortunately, most The United States is currently in the midst of… Fake fall. Let me say it: 75 degree temperatures are not the vibe in a pumpkin patch, and the first PSL of the season shouldn’t be snowy! However, true winter will be coming sooner than you think, along with a significant drop in temperatures, dwindling sunlight, and the potential for stormy weather. Amazon’s October Prime Day is your last chance to go ahead and grab all the cold-weather gear you’ll need to stay warm on the cheap, from slippers and blankets to thermostats and fire pits.

Our favorite space heater
Don’t be fooled by Dreo’s size – it’s tempting to think that a tower-shaped space heater produces more warmth, but don’t forget that heat rises, so a ground-based heater will be just as effective. In fact, this little guy outperformed all the other models we tested when it came to warming a room quickly and quietly, all with necessary safety features like tip-over protection and automatic shut-off.
Electric blanket we love
Electric blankets have come a long way since the fire hazards of the past. We love almost everything from Bedsure (especially the sheets), and this soft heated blanket is no exception. A favorite in our guide to the best electric blankets, they’re reversible and have an easy-to-use preheat mode to get warm quickly.
Great deal on luxury flannel sheets
Although it was an honorable mention in our guide to the best vanilla sheets, these organic sheets are from high-end California brand Coyuchi (represented by Naomi Watts — you may have seen the commercials with them Sleeping in the field) received accolades from reviewer Nina Farrell.
A convenient candle at a lower cost
Yankee Candle is not featured in our guide to the best scented candles. In fact, some of my co-workers might even go so far as to name this brand cheugy. But last month I was at a mall, and I happened to pass by a Yankee Candle store, and I’m here to defend the dignity of Yankee Candle. I bought not one but three candles that day, and I’ll tell you I still have my favorite 90’s candle. However, I also paid significantly more than the Prime Day sale price for my candles, so don’t make the same mistake.
Foot heater for your office
This humble little Lasko was the only heater reviewer Matthew Korvhage kept reaching out to long after he finished testing space heaters for his guide. He says it’s like living inside a hairdryer and, I quote, makes you feel warm and beautiful “from the shell of your heart to your bones.”
Slippers are a gift
Our favorite slippers for bedtime, the TSA line, or anytime, these Cozy Earth slippers look like cotton balls but have a sturdy rubber sole so they can be worn to get the mail or fetch the trash. They’re made from natural sheepskin, so they won’t sweat or get smelly if you or your gift wears them for days at a time (no judgement).
If you have to be outside
Maybe your family really loves having s’mores, drinking beer with the neighbors, or just enjoying the night sky. You may not want to be outside, but if you must, it’s best to stay warm. If your only experience with fire pits has been smoking while camping or strategically moving your chair around a beach fire, it’s time to try a smokeless fire pit. It’s not really smoke-free, but it reduces smoke significantly through what the Solo Stove calls “Secondary burn“This not only makes the experience more enjoyable for you, but it also means fewer angry neighbors.
Smart thermostat for $44
Instead of your family arguing over who turned the thermostat up or down and when, you can place this smart thermostat and its built-in temperature gauge in any room—preferably the room of your biggest complainers. The thermostat will then help your HVAC system operate Just that room to the ideal temperature. Not only is Nest easy to set up and use, its app will make suggestions as it learns schedules over time. Also note that you don’t need the Nest ecosystem to use this — it will work standalone and is compatible with most HVAC systems.
