Saturday Night LiveThe historic 50th season has come to an end, with an Emmy to prove it. Now the show must go on. With five cast members exiting ahead of Season 51 (including mainstays Ego Nwodim and Heidi Gardner) and the addition of five cast members as featured players, this season of the show promises to change. The second episode of the season brings some continuity when the streamer (and former… SNL Cast member) Amy Poehler will host on October 11. Poehler hasn’t hosted the show since 2015, when she co-hosted an episode with Tina Fey, and hasn’t hosted solo since 2010. Model will be the guest on her episode. The episode is set to be a historic event. SNL It premiered exactly 50 years ago on October 11, 1975.
Next, another blond beauty will take the stage. Singer and Muppet collaborator Sabrina Carpenter is pulling double duty on Oct. 18, hosting the show for the first time after performing “Nonsense” and “Feather” two seasons ago. Carpenter then joined Paul Simon on stage at SNL50 Special and wonderfully sung off-key in the final “Domingo”. She’s clearly Lorne’s best friend.
Below you’ll find all the hosts and musical guests for Season 51 of Saturday Night Live.
The Super Bowl might be it Concert only Which Benito is doing in the US during this tour, but he still wants to come to the US to perform at Studio 8H. The most famous rabbit in the world since Bugs has returned to host SNL With musical guest Doja Cat. We call it the animal kingdom.
Amy Poehler promised to be good on October 11. Her promo video pokes fun at the fact that it’s been a great minute since she’s been a regular on the show. She fakes her acquaintance with new cast members Veronica Slowikowska, Cam Patterson and Jeremy Culhane, and then the police promptly do so. “I thought I came into this building to get a mammogram,” she says. “And it turns out I’m hosting. Oopsy.” Then she went into the closet thinking it was an elevator. Surely it got some of its bearings back at the 50th anniversary exhibition?
