Victoria Beckham has “never spoken” about her eating disorder publicly until now


Victoria Beckham has opened up about her struggle with an eating disorder in her candid new documentary.

In the new Netflix doc, Victoria Beckhamthe 51-year-old designer discussed the body image issues that have plagued her for most of her life Drama school During her time in the Spice Girls.

“When you have an eating disorder, you become very good at lying, and I was never honest about that with my parents,” she said. Page six. “I’ve never talked about it publicly. It really affects you when you’re constantly told you’re not good enough, and I think that’s been with me my whole life.”

“I mean, you know, it was a lot, and it’s hard. I had no control over what was written about me, or the photos that were taken, and I guess I wanted to control that, you know….” she says in the doc. “I could control my weight and I was controlling it in an incredibly unhealthy way.”

Although this is the first time Beckham has discussed her eating disorder publicly, she has discussed the media focus on her weight in the past.
