Parma star Cremachi led the United States to victory with two stunning goals. The 20-year-old opened the scoring after just 14 minutes, curling in the rebound from a well-placed corner kick.

Niko Tsakiris headed home two goals for the United States from a free kick in the second half, and Karimachi settled the game in stoppage time.

The Azzurrinis were never dangerous except for two shots that hit the post, from Mattia Mosconi and Christian Cama, coming from volatile plays, at the beginning and at the end of the match.

Italy reached the final of the U-20 World Cup in the previous edition, losing 1-0 in the 2023 final to Uruguay.
