This vibrant global honor will raise important funds for metastatic breast cancer research
October is not like that only It’s nail and checkered month, and it’s also Breast Cancer Awareness Month. And one day in October has special meaning: October 13, Metastatic Breast Cancer Awareness Day.
One initiative has helped spread awareness of the day: an annual event that highlights the issue – quite literally. during #LightUpMBCnearly 300 memorials in all 50 states and more than a dozen countries around the world light up green, pink and teal, the colors of the Breast Cancer Awareness Ribbon beyond pink.
To mark the occasion, actress, singer-songwriter Jenna Naomi Baez, a three-time cancer survivor, and motivational speaker Tammy Eagle Bolling, who has metastatic breast cancer, will host #LightUpMBC Live, a live-streamed production to raise awareness of metastatic breast cancer, which is incurable, and raise money for breast cancer research Metastatic.
