Dave Ramsey has some (funny) advice – Nervous
We love memes. What’s more, we love viral memes. The Interwebs are filled with smart people who turn modern culture and current events into comedic gold, which goes double on Twitter.
So, when Senator Mike Liss released a funny Dave Ramsey meme about the Schumer shutdown and the disaster that is Obamacare, well, let’s just say it went viral.
Did you force Obamacare to go ahead 16 years ago, when Republicans warned it would cause premiums to skyrocket?
“Yes Dave.”
Then insurance premiums rose dramatically?
“Yes Dave.”
And then under Biden, you passed additional subsidies to pay for these higher premiums?
“Yes Dave.”
Now these subsidies… pic.twitter.com/PIXfx8chGH

Ramsay has made a career providing financial advice that is so logical, simple, and effective that it seems revolutionary. Listeners to his show often treat him as a gentle rebuke to people who have made some bad financial decisions.
Mike Leigh’s staff has hit the nail on the head here with Dave’s reprimands.

Fortunately, there’s a Mimi Ramsay reaction. We wonder if Dave has actually seen this yet. probably.
“So you can’t stop making Dave Ramsey memes?”
“Pretty much”
“Even though you’re not monetized, so there’s no financial incentive?”
“This is about form, Dave.” pic.twitter.com/IUuF7QMLWv

“So you spent $3 for a smart water bottle?”
“Yes Dave, I just felt like treating myself to something luxurious for a change.

…are you still there?
…can you hear me?

“So you wasted all your pocket money on candy and a toy you don’t want anymore.”
“Yes, Dave.”
“So now you’re selling pine cones that have been rebranded as Christmas decorations in the hopes that someone will take pity and pay up?”
“Yes, Dave.”

Three-year letterman is not amused.
“So Coach Letterman wants you to stop posting Dave Ramsey memes?”
“Yes Dave”
“And you’re going to do it anyway?”
“That’s right, Dave.” https://t.co/Juf76gXSbA pic.twitter.com/MWz5gT5p1k

But it seems this only emboldened the memers more.
“So, did you have a job in a struggling industry with a dying business model?”
“Yes.”
“And you lost that job?”
“Yes, Dave.”
“Because your boss asked you to write an email and you didn’t?”

As you can see, this thing has legs because it moves on to other topics.
“So you spent over $15 million on the experiment?”
“Yes Dave”
“And not only is this man going to walk free but now you’re going to prison?”
“This is correct.” https://t.co/8NsyErzVyl pic.twitter.com/gfXplyiQpk
