Liverpool are close to signing an exciting teenage star after narrowing down their options.

Richard Hughes continues to make moves even while the transfer window is closed. This time last year, he made initial contact with Milos Kerkez’s representatives to see if the Hungarian was interested in a move to Anfield.

Months before the move to Hugo Ekitiki, Alexander Isak and Florian Wirtz-Hughes were also speaking with their representatives and establishing contacts.

For now, he’ll probably be making the same rounds. It remains to be seen who the players are on his agenda.

Undoubtedly, just as with all the players mentioned above, he will want to keep things under wraps for as long as possible.

Reds like to move stealthily and behind shadows. This is why they have been able to operate so successfully over the years.

One area they haven’t been able to figure out how to navigate is the South American market. For many years, Liverpool have had a strong scouting presence in the region.

The club’s scouts have been monitoring players like Rodrygo from a very young age, even reaching out to sign the Brazilian for example.

Other players Liverpool have kept on their radar include Julian Alvarez, Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez. Some of these players were eventually signed.

But none of them are directly from South America.

This is the trend that Liverpool are now looking to break and perhaps they are getting closer to their desired goal.

according to TBR Football Liverpool are among a group of clubs keenly interested in the services of Ian Sobiabury.

The website claims that the Liverpool target has made his decision. The report claims that he has decided to sign for a Premier League club.

He did not reveal the identity of the club, but only that he informed of his desire to move to England, which certainly increases Liverpool’s chances of signing him.

The 18-year-old striker is a very interesting profile. He can play up front and it’s very exciting to watch him on the ball. Subiabre has quick feet and can overpower any opponent when at full strength.

Despite his young age, he has already made 19 appearances for River Plate, which will make it much easier for him to obtain a work permit in the UK.

Clearly, Liverpool would be a massive move for the youngster (if he decides to join the Reds). However, he will not be asked to come and hit the ground running right away.

He will be given a chance to adapt first. He may play some Under-21 games before he gets his chance in the first team as Slott could potentially add another option to his attacking depth.
