These Skullcandy earbuds are about $50 off

Skullcandy has cracked The symbol on one of the most requested features of wireless earbuds. Unlike almost every other pair I own, dropping the charging case won’t send the earbuds flying across the room. For my fellow clumsy humans, I’m happy to report that the Skullcandy Method 360 ANC (8/10, WIRED Review) has been rated at multiple retailers. I found it Best price for a white (bone) pair on Amazonbut some other colors are discounted as well if you don’t mind paying a little extra.

Although the included case is my favorite thing about these earbuds, they also feature excellent active noise cancellation. This is largely thanks to a collaboration with Bose, one of the best companies in the ANC space, giving it a really impressive level of sound isolation and noise reduction, especially for the price.

The sound profile clearly took some notes from Bose too, with our reviewer Parker Hall saying: “There’s real life to this listening experience in the midrange, with vocals, piano, guitars and other central heavy instruments each occupying their own musical space.” He was also impressed by the wide stereo image, which can give a lot of life to panning, and the intricate details that stand out when you have good isolation and tuning.

Of course, if you want to tweak the experience, you can use the mobile app to adjust the button function or change the equalizer profile for your preferred music genre. There are also noise cancellation settings and a transparency mode, the latter of which works particularly well for hearing traffic while walking the dog.

The downside here is that the whole setup is a little bulky. The earbuds feature a large back that sits inside your ear, making them a little more legible than some other earbuds we like. Although this case is great for keeping your earbuds in one place when you drop them off the kitchen counter, it’s also on the large side and is difficult to use at first. However, for less than $100, you get excellent ANC, a high-quality sound file, and a comfortable fit, which I think is worth the price of admission.
