The Kremlin confirmed her “readiness” for direct peace talks with Ukraine, but she said she was waiting for a sign from Kiev.

This is followed by the comments of US President Donald Trump urges Russian President Vladimir Putin to stop attacking Ukraine, and that he was disappointed by the leader in Moscow.

“There were such words [from Trump]. Putin’s Dmitry Peskov said that a military operation was special.

“The President has repeatedly affirmed the Russian side’s willingness to start the negotiation process with Ukraine without any conditions for entering a peaceful channel.”

Peskov also said that the Kremlin was waiting for a sign of “Kiev” that it was also ready for direct conversations.

“At least, Kiev must take some measures in this regard. They have a legal embargo on this. But so far we do not see any action,” said Peskov.

This is an urgent news story and more information will be added soon.
