The Central Command reports hundreds of Houthi fighters who were killed by American air strikes

The US military has hit more than 800 targets since mid -March in a campaign aimed at eliminating Houthi terrorists and restoring freedom of movement in the Red Sea, according to a update from the central command.

Since the start of the “Rough Rider” operation on March 15, American forces have carried out an “intense and sustainable campaign” to dismantle the capabilities of the Iranian -backed terrorist terrorist organization, Centcom said on Monday. Critical military infrastructure strikes, including command centers, air defense systems, advanced weapons manufacturing sites, anti -ship missiles and drones.

“These strikes have killed hundreds of Houthi fighters and many Houthi leaders, including senior missiles and fighters in drones,” said the statement.

The RAS ISA port, which was previously a major fuel center in Houthi, was destroyed, which reduced the vital revenue flow that the group uses to finance its terrorist activities.

The update came after concerns about the rapid rate in which the offensive campaign has exhausted ammunition stocks, and Congress officials say the campaign has already cost one billion dollars, according to the New York Times for the first time.

The Houthis said that they will continue to overcome the projectiles and firing drones towards the western commercial and military ships in the Red Sea in a display of solidarity with the Palestinians in Gaza and Hamas.

“To maintain operational security, we have details of intentionally revealing our continuous or future operations. We are very deliberate in our operating approach, but we will not reveal details about what we have done or what we will do,” the statement stated.

Despite the allegations of success in the United States, some legislators and military analysts asked whether the strikes were achieving permanent results. Critics argue that although the campaign has deteriorated some Houthi capabilities, it did not completely stop attacks on shipping ships, US naval ships, or international naval traffic.
