Guitarist Carroll Kai says she refuses to incite the celebrity hall on the rocks – permanently
Carroll Kai, the abundant guitarist, the production and respect that played on thousands of songs in the 1960s, including Beach Boys, Simon & Garvanc and Parbra Streisnd, told the Associated Press newspaper on Friday that they did not want any part of the Rock & Roll celebrity Hall.
“I have rejected RRHOF permanently,” said 90 -year -old Kai said in an email to AP. She said she sent a message to the hall saying the same.
Her statements come two days after a Facebook post – since deleted – where she said, “No, I will not be there. I refuse to offer RRHOF Awards.”
Kaye was appointed in November in a semester that also includes Joe Cocker, Chubby Checker and Cyndi Lauper.
She said in his deleted position that she “refused this because it was not anything that reflects the work of the studio musicians and its actions in the golden age of recording recordings in the 1960s.”
Kaye’s credits include the flowers of “Homeward Bound” from Simon & Garfunkel, “Good Vibrations” for children, and Monkees “I am a believer”.
Along with the dramaticist Hull Blain and guitarist Tommy Tedzco, it was part of the essence of the studio musicians that were largely used “The Wrecking Crew”.
Kai hated the name, and suggested in its Facebook post that its association with it was part of the reason for the low induction.

The representatives of the hall had no immediate comment.
Many artists were recruited in their absence or after their death, and in 2006, sexual pistols became a celebrity hall despite their incitement.
In 2022, Dolly Barton initially refused to incite her, saying that someone was associated with more than rock and roll should get honor. But she was convinced of changing her opinion and embracing honor.
