Paul Simon cancels 2 dates of “Minor” surgery
Paul Simon canceled two shows on a quiet celebration tour, the first since 2018, as he underwent a simple surgery.
On Saturday, the Grammy 16x winner had to cancel his offers on June 28 and June 29 scheduled at the Philadelphia Music Academy after “chronic and intensive back pain”.
“Today it is indisputable and requires immediate attention,” a statement is read on Instagram Simon. “Unfortunately, we have to cancel these offers at this time, because we do not have the ability to rescue them.”
The post continued, “However, after this simple surgical procedure, we will hope for a date in the next few days, Paul will be able to complete the tour and also look at a return to compensation for these dates.”
After retiring from a tour in 2018 due to hearing loss, Simon announced his 20 -cities tour in February, where he started in New Orleans in April. A calm celebration that includes music from his album 2023 Seven PsalmsIn addition to the prominent visits of his individual career, Simon & Garvankl.
The next Simon is scheduled to rule at the Tiras Theater in Long Beach, California on July 7, followed by a five -night race in the Disney Hall in Los Angeles, starting from July 9.
