Why Dave from Igham has finished football for women? | Women’s football

Barney Ronai’s article, which was inspired by “Dave from Igham” radio about his inability to bear the voices of the woman who talks about football and linking women’s football “throwing our throat” during Euro 2025, was refreshing and entertaining (the soundtrack of European women was happiness … and some men could not overcome, August 2).

In a modern family gathering, some men started talking about the same thing – how there was a lot of offers and commentators who talk about football and not only football for women, no, but, God forbid, football for men, and sports in reality in general! What will the world come? How do these women dare to speak familiar with the sentences and joyful tones? Like “Mrs. Dave”, my sister joined and supported the patriarchal point!

The conversation continued throughout this context for some time, in the end, she reached the worn out loyalty about “a woman cannot play football as well as men and should not pay the same thing, without him, without him …”

I ask myself why some men oppose women’s football, and why do they feel that they were “thrown into our throat”, and why can they finish women’s voices and are generally hatred for women and very open about their toxic beliefs. I think they are jealous and threatened.

Not from the upper days of football that attracts large crowds (such as Dick, Kiir was for women, who attracted a crowd of 53,000 in Judison Park on boxing day 1920) is very popular. But the men returned from the war, and it was time to restore their game. Therefore, it is binding, the federation does not allow women to play on the stadiums affiliated for half a century.

In men’s football, England led the way with the Premier League formation, and attracted players and fans from all over the world – even if we, at the international level, always fall into the last obstacle, or before that. Then it came along the women’s forces, gained attention after a lot of ridicule and played good football – and not rolling on the ground and reprimanding the referee. There are a lot of sports on TV, to watch or not. The types of “Dave from Egham” should continue in their private lives and stop being these haters – it’s bad for their health.

What Barne Ronai describes as the happiness of the euro, in my opinion, what should sport should be. The sport was competitive, exciting and skilled, but there is still a sense of proportionality. Sports, not life, and the people playing it returned to the homes that were like those of their fans. Sports is a game, seasons. You can still celebrate the endeavor and skill, but just stop taking everything seriously. Black showed us, again, that sport can be pure joy.

I arrived in the British islands in 1968 and was completely confusing because of the war between football fans. I support any team that I have resumed at that time and I could not prepare any hatred for the other side. I did not realize that I was watching and enjoying women’s football because this anger and threat of violence was missing. I would like to thank Barney Ronai for the interpretation.
