Chicongonia’s outbreak: The symptoms of the spread of the disease in China have shown
The outbreak of the Chicongonia virus in southern China sparked a strong government response with the rise to thousands.
This disease, which is spread by mosquitoes, is the most prevalent in the Foshan Manufacturing Center, near Hong Kong.
With symptoms including fever, joint pain and rashes, the authorities implement a set of aggressive measures to combat the spread of the virus.
Here is what you need to know about the Chikungunya virus and its symptoms.

The name “Chikungunya” is derived from the Kimakonde language in southern Tanzania and means “which bends” – referring to the twisted position of individuals with severe common pain – to the World Health Organization. The virus was first identified in Tanzania in 1952 and since then it has spread to more than 110 countries.
Symptoms Chikungunya
Chikungunya is a viral disease that is transmitted to humans through the bite of the affected mosquitoes, in the first place AEDES AEGYPTI and Albopictus Class.
Symptoms usually begin three to seven days of mosquito bite and include the most common in the fever and joint pain.
Other symptoms can include headache, muscle pain, joint swelling, or rash.
While most patients feel better within a week, joint pain may be severe, disruption, and in some cases, they may last for several months – although the centers of control and prevention control (CDC) indicate that death from Chikungunya is rare.
Those who suffer from a higher risk of severe disease include newborn and older adults and people with essential health conditions such as high blood pressure, diabetes or heart disease.
There is no specific treatment for the virus. Treatment, according to the Center for Disease Control, focuses on relieving symptoms through comfort, fluids and pain drugs that do not need a prescription such as acetaminophen.
Aspirin and other non -steroidal anti -inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) should be avoided so that the diagnosis of dengue fever can be excluded, as it can increase the risk of bleeding.
Any person with the virus can transfer it to mosquitoes for about a week after it has the disease, which is why the mosquito bites are prevented is very important during this time.
China’s response and the scale of the outbreak
More than 7000 cases of Chikungunya virus were reported from Wednesday. Heavy rains and high temperatures exacerbated the situation, which contributed to unusually strong fascism.
In response, the Chinese authorities have adopted tactics that remind us of the country’s uncompromising approach during the Covid-19s. Foshan, a disease outbreak, is imposed, provided that patients with the virus remain in the hospital for at least a week. The authorities are also deploying drones to search for mosquito raising lands for hospitalization for the injured patients.
Prevention efforts are widely implemented – including antiseptic spraying in public areas. In addition, the authorities export fines of up to 10,000 yuan (about 1400 USD) for people who fail to separate permanent water in containers such as flowers and backup bottles, which act as mosquito raising lands. According to AP, in some areas, electricity can be cut off to compliance.
Can Chikungunya the following epidemic cause?
With the similarities in response to the Covid-19 epidemic, Chikungunya calls for questions about their size.
Will Erfing, a professor of honorary viruses at the University of Nottingham, said there is a “possibility” to spread separation from the epidemic – although it can spread to other countries, said Will Irfing, a professor of honorary viruses at the University of Nottingham.
He pointed out that “the transmission requires the presence of the appropriate mosquitoes.”
“However, with climate change, mosquitoes are spread – there are reports of mosquitoes in parts of Europe.”
The United States has issued advice to travel 2 to its citizens, and urged them not to visit the Chinese province of Guangdong because of its outbreak.
The virus is not intended among people but can be transferred from a person with mosquitoes, which can bite and afford others.
