Scott Hanson says he was “fired” to continue hosting NFL Redzone

ESPN will get NFL and other media assets, including the famous Redzone channel, from the American Football Association.

On the other hand, the league will receive a 10 % share of shares in the sports network as part of a Historical AgreementThe two sides announced on Tuesday.

The shift in control has sparked some fear among football fans about whether the deal will lead to changes.

But the only thing that does not seem to change any time soon is the Redzone host. Scott Hanson, who has established Redzone since 2009, has moved to social media to reduce concerns about his role for the 2025 season.

Hanson confirmed that he would resume regular hosting duties for the next season. He also expressed optimism about the deal between ESPN and NFL.

“It is official. (And for those who are wondering: Yes, I will continue to host Redzone.) A wonderful season has been shot! Optimistic about this new partnership!” Hanson Books on X.

Hanson’s popularity has grown with viewers over the years, and he got praise for his unforgettable phrases. According to what was reported, his contract with the American Football Association ended at the end of last season. Hanson confirmed that he negotiated a new deal, which allowed him to return to the 2025 season.

Under the agreement, the US Football Association will continue to own, operate and produce the Redzone channel programming from its studios in southern California. ESPN will be treated with adjusting cables and satellites, while the league will retain the rights to distribute it to digital platforms.

The NFL network is expected to add to the upcoming ESPN broadcast service to the upcoming consumers. The service is scheduled to launch this fall and provide access to the ESPN portfolio of professional and college sports.
