Researchers are already leaving the new Superinteigence Laboratory in Meta
At least three Artificial intelligence researchers resigned from the new SuperInteigence Laboratory in Meta, just two months after CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced for the first time the initiative. Two employees returned to Openai, where both previously worked, less than one month after Meta, confirmed WIRED.
Avi Verma was previously a researcher at Openai. Ethan Knight worked in the Chatgpt maker earlier in his career but joined Meta from Elon Musk’s Xai. A third researcher, Rishb Agarawal, announced on Monday that he would also leave a dead laboratory. Join the technology giant in April to work on the intrusive artificial intelligence projects before switching into a role in Meta SuperINGENCE LABS (MSS), according to his personal file LinkedIn. While the reasons for the departure of Agarwal are unknown, it is based in Canada and Amnesty International’s teams in Meta mostly in Menlo Park, California.
“It was a difficult decision not to continue with the new SuperIntelligence TBD laboratory, especially given the talent and mathematical density,” said Agarwal on X, referring to the team in MSL, which follows the new research of the new Super Watering AI, especially given the talent and mathematical density, “referring to the team in the MSL, which specifically follows the FRONTIERIIR AI research. “But after 7.5 years with Google Brain, DeepMind and Meta, I felt withdrawn to face a different kind of risk.” It is not clear to where it might go after that. Agarwal did not respond to the WIRED comment.
“During an intensive recruitment process, some people will decide to stay in their current job instead of starting a new work,” said Mita Dave Arnold. “This is normal,”
Meta has also lost the last leader of the Tech Giant for nearly a decade. Chaya Nayak, Director of META AI Management Management, joins Openai to work on special initiatives, according to exporters who have a direct knowledge of rental.
Verma and Knight did not respond to a request for comment from WIRED. Nayak refused to comment in time to post.
The departures are the strongest general signal so far can be Superinte Britain Egypt laboratory. Zuckerberg attracted people to join the laboratory by packed nine more connected numbers with professional sports stars more than technology workers, hoping that talents flow for the social media giant to quickly knee their competitors in the race towards the so -called artificial general intelligence.
But Meta executives have struggled to combat bureaucracy and employment issues related to their AI’s initiatives. Meta has repeatedly reorganized AI’s difference in recent months, as others have divided the employees into four groups, For every Wall Street magazine.
In July, Zuckerberg announced that a former former researcher in Openai, Shangjia Zhao, who played a major role in creating Chatgpt, will become the chief scientist in MSL. This announcement came after Zhao tried to return to Openai – even to the point of signing the paperwork of employment – which led to multiple sources with direct knowledge of the events.
Arnold said in a statement to WIRED: “We made the official character to its role as soon as our recruitment had swollen and took over the team.”
