Redondo Union Marymount is defeated in the face of Volleyball for Girls in Secondary Schools
In an early confrontation between two of the best volleyball teams for girls in the state, Redondo Union dominated the last two groups to deal with Marymount 25-23, 18-25, 25-21, 25-14, and has proven to be a threat to the first southern section championship since 2019.
The unaccounted match teams entered with a record of 22-1 combined this autumn and could meet again on the road with the two bets. The victory of SEA Hawks was more impressive, given that it was accomplished without Libero Rowan Devore (influenza was marginalized) and AVERY and AdDi Junk, who are skipping an internal season to focus on beach volleyball, which both commit to playing in Florida.
It was almost uncomfortable, as it could not have almost stopped, as he was killing 26 people, and Lea Blair (committed to playing the beach in Washington) was 10 dead and added Taylor Boyce at the University of California at Irvin seven killings on the host side. Setter Marlo Libbey had 33 decisive passes and served three overwhelming.
Zimmerman led her school to the beach title in the spring.
“My favor is my favorite and we have put a lot of work, it will be great to go out at the top of last year,” Zimmerman said. “This was a strong match for us, and if we were able to bring the same energy and fight each game we have a good chance.”
Both programs were coming out of successful trips to Hawaii. Redondo Union finished second in the National Power Byron Nelson (Texas) for the second consecutive season in The Ann Kang Invational, while Marymount did not fall on its way to the Huawei Island Championship on Saturday in Helo.
Beginners, McKena Barnes, hit 16 dead, Washington Sami Deebir 14 added, Olivia Bencz was 36 decisive passes and Dikman Eastman recorded 11 sailors, who were trying to take revenge on the defeat of five groups in the first round of the CIF Socal Open Division.
“I play in the same club team as ABBY and Taylor … We are the best friends,” said Distler. “This was an invitation to wake up to us. We have been practicing at 5:45 am tomorrow and I should like. Redondo has a completely different level from the teams we saw in Hawaii.”
On Tuesday’s match was not characterized by the fact that it did not feature many most talented players in Sawtland, but also two of its most successful coaches in Tommy Shavens in Redondo Union (who passed with 900 wins last year) and Marymount’s Cari Klein (which led its sailors to 30 or more in three of the past four seasons).
Klein said the flight from Hawaii had a small drama because the plane suffers from engine problems and was forced to convert it to Ouh.
Marymount was at the beginning of its hottest beginning since 2021, when it ended 35-0 on its way to the title of the tenth section, the crown of the seventh state during the era of Klein and the National Classification No. 1.
The table becomes only more strict for Redondo Union (14-1), who travels to the first section champion in the first section on Thursday and hosts the 2022 champion Canyon next Tuesday. Marymount (9-1) will try to get rid of her first loss when she hosts her competitor in the Sea Hawks’ Bay League, Mira Costa, on Thursday.
“We are very close to the court and we left more in Hawaii,” said Boyce. “Tonight we wanted to simply.”
