About 100,000 eggs worth $ 40,000 stolen from a trailer in Pennsylvania

The authorities in Pennsylvania said that thieves wipe about 100,000 eggs from the back of the distribution trailer.

The theft took place at about 8:40 pm on Saturday at the Organics LLC in Greencastle, Police said in a report. The value of eggs is about 40,000 dollars.

The state police did not have additional details on Tuesday and said that the accident was under investigation.

“Betty & Jerry is aware of a recent accident in Franklin County, Pennsylvania, and we are actively working with the application of the local law for investigation,” said Al -Bayd’s supplier in a statement. “We take this very seriously and obligate to solve it as soon as possible. Given the continuous investigation, we cannot comment more in this regard.”

Theft comes because the price of eggs is high.

Last year, the average price of dozens of eggs in the United States jumped by 50 %. It seems that the increase has accelerated since President Donald Trump was elected in November, according to data from American work statistics office.

Economists and market analysts said that bird flu is leading the stumbling block, in addition to increasing demand for consumers during the holiday season.
