In one of the largest layoffs in Amazon’s history, the company announced it would cut 14,000 jobs. In a statement, Amazon points to artificial intelligence, saying the company needs to be agile and remain more “smart” in the age of generative AI, calling it “the most transformative technology since the Internet.” NBC’s Kristen Roman reports for TODAY.
