Ben Simons says he is healthy and ready to play with Clippers

Ben Simons has not yet taken the court to Clippers, but after his first full training with the team, he looks new and renewed his youth. Both sides depend on changing the scene to help it rediscover all the stars.

Simons starts from turbulent and a half seasons with Brooklyn networks, which were characterized by injuries, unveiled expectations and criticism.

Now, he looks forward to overcoming these conflicts and contributing to the Cleibers team, which is currently ranked No. 6 at the Western Conference just a few days before the All-Star break.

“I just want to compete, regardless of all the bull — he said online,” Simons said. “I am here to do that, and play alongside some of these great players … Everyone will push each other to be better and expect greatness.”

Clippers (29-23) rotate the dice of Simons often, who sees this step a comfortable seizure. He joins a veteran team led by Kohi Leonard, Norman Powell and James Hardine – which Simons was traded in the final date of 2022, and sent him to Brooklyn and Harden to Philadelphia.

“Making the decision to come here, I felt the desire,” Simons said. “This is something you want to feel when you go to work.”

Simons welcomed the move to Los Angeles, which he expected because of his long -term relationship with Cleibers Turun Lowe coach. The two were almost connected to Philadelphia when Louis was a former training candidate, but their relationship returns again to when Klutch SPORTS SIMMONS.

Simons had many suggestions after being released by the window, but the talks with Lue and the privilege about his role eventually attracted him to Los Angeles

“Everyone was very transparent,” Simmons said. “They know what I can and what they expect from me. I am ready to give that and ready to go.”

The immediate role of the 6 -foot and 10 -footed goalkeeper with Clippers is to get out of the bench as a point goalkeeper for the second unit. His main focus will be to pay the ball and provide a defensive presence, and it reinforces one of the American Professional League The highest defense And the creation of difficult competitions as the team continues to chase the qualifiers.

I spoke to a few different teams, [but] This was the first thing they are [the Clippers] He told me: “We see the point guard.” “This is my position. … I want to make my comrades go, make them easy buckets, and to control speed. Then, at the defensive end, I want to be a dog.”

Simmons played in 33 of 52 games of Nets this season, starting from 24 games. Average is 6.2 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 6.9 decisive passes over 25.4 minutes for each game.

LUE admits that it will take some time to know where Simmons is suitable for the scheme, saying: “You have a point guard that can play both the center and point, so this depends on the unit in which it is located.”

There is an expectation that there will be an educational curve where Simmons integrates in the rotation and feels how to play Clippers for the second unit.

He is one of the newly obtained players, and joins others on the deadline for trade. LUE believes that the organization is superior to helping players to adapt to a new preparation, providing them with a reset that affects its need.

“[It’s] Louis said about the players who come to the organization. “It is always good to get a new start and start again. Don’t worry about the past and what you did in the past. Get a new place where you know you are welcome.”

At the age of twenty -eight, Simons says the most experienced that he does not allow external gossip – especially on social media – affects his mentality. He completely avoids this, and instead focuses on his journey to fulfill himself.

“I really don’t look at it,” Simons said of social media. “Once you feel comfortable knowing who you are as a person, it is not related – all of this, additional noise. I try to get away from it.”

Simons Health is still a source of concern. He fought this issue in most of his career, and this is primarily due to the harmful damage of the nerves at the bottom of his back. A mixture of back and calf forced him this season to miss many games, a pattern that has become very familiar.

Simons says he does not deal with any restrictions and prepares to play, but there are still questions about the date of his appearance in Clippers.

The decision will come tomorrow after meeting training staff, which will have a final opinion on whether he is playing at home against GRIZZLES or is waiting until Thursday against Jazz in Utah.

If it fits to the previous one, he may sit against Utah because it has not yet been cleared of games on successive nights.
