Build a company culture that encourages feedback
Senior leaders often say to me: “We have a great culture. The people here are kind, close-knit, and really care about each other. But… we’re not good at giving direct feedback.” They know that kindness nurtures harmony, but that harmony too can slide into avoidance. Without honesty, people don’t improve as quickly as they need to. Frustration is mounting. Performance is stagnant.
