Christoph Niemann “Market Transformation” | The New Yorker
On the cover of the October 27, 2025 issue, artist Christoph Niemann sets out to visualize how the wealthy pay a disproportionately small share of taxes. In the conversation, Neiman voiced another complaint, one that stemmed from his purely professional standpoint as an artist: “What’s up with the childish look of sneakers and T-shirts in Silicon Valley? They’re (mostly) grown men with endless resources. Can’t they dress accordingly?” He said. “Until they come up with a new stereotypical billionaire style, I’ll stick to the ‘top hat, striped pants, and boots’ outfit in my drawings.”
