In a televised town hall with Fox News host Sean Hannity on Thursday, New Jersey Republican gubernatorial candidate Jack Ciattarelli announced which far-left politics would be his first-day priority to eliminate if elected governor.
With just five days until Election Day, Ciattarelli trails his Democratic challenger, Rep. Mikie Sherrill, by seven points in deep blue New Jersey. However, while speaking with Hannity in Point Pleasant, New Jersey, Ciattarelli asserted that his campaign has the momentum to upset Sherrill and flip the state red.
If he wins the race, Ciattarelli told Hannity that his first priority would be eliminating sanctuary policies in New Jersey, and preventing local and state authorities from cooperating with federal immigration enforcement operations.
“Executive order number one, on day one, no city in this state will be a sanctuary city, we will not be a sanctuary state,” Schiattarelli said, to applause from the crowd full of New Jersey locals.

“This is the good news,” he continued. “Many things that [current Democratic Gov. Phil] What Murphy did was by executive order. “It hasn’t been codified by the legislature, which means I can reverse it on day one.”
“Having sanctuary cities and being a sanctuary state encourages illegal immigration, restricts our local police in certain ways; we don’t do that. I will reverse that on day one,” he said, adding: “If our local police chief and mayor want to work together to maintain safety in our community by partnering with a federal agency, I will not stand in their way.”
Ciattarelli also announced that he would prioritize eliminating non-cash bail, saying the policy “created a career criminal who has learned how to game the system.”

“Talk to local cops and they’ll tell you about this dynamic known as ‘arrest, release, repeat,’ and it’s frustrating for cops,” he explained.
Although he has already run for governor of New Jersey twice, Ciattarelli told Hannity that the early voting results made him “really well positioned to win.”
During the town hall, he also called out Cheryl for refusing to release her military records related to the disciplinary actions she faced for her involvement in a cheating scandal at the U.S. Naval Academy. Cheryl maintained that she did not cheat, but she was banned from walking with her graduating class for refusing to reveal information about those who cheated.
He added: “All she has to do is agree to publish her disciplinary records, and we will find out why she was disciplined. If what she says is true, her disciplinary records will confirm that, but she will not publish them,” adding: “There is a pattern here.”

“We asked her to reject that endorsement, and she didn’t do that, just as she would be the most transparent but would never give out her maritime records,” he said, as Hannity noted.
