CJ ENM and Far EasTone lead the launch of global funds at TCCF
The 2025 Taiwan Creative Content Festival (TCCF) kicked off with the unveiling of two global investment vehicles – the Taiwan-Korea Entertainment and Cultural Content Fund and the Far East Creative Entertainment Fund – aiming to accelerate international collaboration, co-production and intellectual property development across the Asian content landscape.
The Taiwan-Korea Entertainment and Cultural Content Fund is headed by CJ ENM – the powerful Korean entertainment group that spans television, talent management, film and drama production, cinemas and concerts – in partnership with Far EasTone Telecom and Taiwan’s TVBS Group. The NT960 million ($31 million) initiative will drive investment in film, television, music, live entertainment, co-productions, distribution and international marketing.
Complementing the bilateral fund, the Far East Creative Entertainment Fund – jointly established by Fubon Culture Creative, Far EasTone and Taiwan Creative Content Agency (TAICCA) – focuses on raising the profile of Taiwanese intellectual property globally while bringing world-class works to local audiences.
TAICCA President Su Wang stressed that the two funds represent more than just a capital infusion – they point to a more mature, globally interconnected ecosystem. “The TCCF has become a major entry point for international companies seeking cooperation with Taiwan,” she said. “The island is evolving from a center for creatives to a center for investment and co-production.”
Shawn Zhou, Vice President of International Business at CJ ENM, highlighted the strategic potential of the Taiwan-Korea partnership: “By combining Korean production expertise with Taiwan’s creative strengths, we aim to develop a more internationally impactful business.”
The launch of these two flagship funds sets a strong tone for TCCF 2025 as the event continues to expand its role as a leading hub for Asian creative industries. It’s been a busy morning for CJ ENM with the unveiling of a major content partnership with Disney+ to bring the streaming device’s Tving content to Japan.
