Cocktail of the Week: Farzi Monk Mule – Recipe | Cocktails


Monk mule

serves 1

1 slice fresh turmeric
40 ml of dark rum
– We use an Indian, an old monk who is 7 years old
10 ml of fresh lemon juice
100 ml of ginger beer
2 drops of cardamom
1 sprig of fresh mint
to decorate

Place the turmeric in a Boston shaker, give it a quick shake to break it up a bit, then measure it into the rum, lime juice and ginger beer, then add a good handful of ice. Add the bitters, stir everything well, then strain it well into a glass filled with fresh ice. Garnish with mint and serve.
