Collapse into collapse? The GOP is probably considering splitting the spending bill into smaller parts — nervous
Republicans are back to the drawing board for a third time after the latest version of a spending bill was rejected in Congress. But sometimes the solution to a breakdown is to break something larger into much smaller, and therefore manageable, parts. One Republican is urging leadership to break the bill into individual parts such as disaster relief, farm aid, etc.

Of course, the posters weren’t able to control their sarcasm about what should have been the plan from the beginning.
Take it away guys!
Wow, what a new idea. genius!
…This is literally how it’s supposed to be done.
He does. for you. Jobs.

This is the way it should always be done.

Oh really??? What a genius idea!!! I can’t believe no one thought of this before… 🙄

Better late than never.
Others took a serious tone, saying it was a good idea and might face some resistance. But it will make the process more transparent.
Another smart idea is to break the spending bill into parts to pass. But I assume the same Democrats and anti-Trumpers will continue their aggression.

Well… some bills won’t pass, but that’s the way it should be. Bills with which there is agreement will be passed, and those with which there is no agreement will not be passed. No one should be forced to vote for a lot of crap to get one good thing.

Who knew that childhood cancer funds, children’s transfer funds, funding a nursing home for gay men, and a $60,000 pay raise for every member of Congress didn’t have something in common?

Hopefully, the common practice of linking unpopular items to popular items in order to gain approval will be overturned by the proposed mini-divider bills.
Many say this is what they wanted all along, and are disappointed that it took so long to get here.
This is what we wanted all along. One topic! That way, each vote goes to just that issue instead of voting on the whole thing because of some other distasteful thing about it.

Just do what you need to pass the basics. Everything else can wait until Trump returns to office.

This is the simple solution. All invoices must be small single issue invoices of less than 5 pages.

Splitting the massive bill into smaller parts may be able to get the votes needed to avoid a shutdown. Hopefully, this will force voting on clear merit rather than on concessions and deals done behind closed doors. What Republicans ultimately decide to do will not be known until Friday morning.
