Senator Ted Cruz, R-TEXAS, warned in the Podcast “Judgment with Ted Cruz” on Friday those who are defending the Federal Communications Committee (FCC) against opponents, noting whether the precedent of censorship has been developed, “every governorate in America … will regret it.”
The host ABC commented late at night, Jimmy Kimmel, “indefinitely” after he said that the alleged killer of the co -founder of Turning Point Usa Charlie Kirk as a Maga colleague.
Kimmel failed to record the record immediately after the indictment was announced against the suspect Tyler Robinson on Tuesday, which led to a response from the Chairman of the Federal Communications Committee (FCC) Brendan Car, who told Fox News that the agency was planning to stimulate the enforcement of commitment to public interests.

FCC gives broadcast licenses, provided that stations serve “public interest, comfort and necessity”.
Although the first amendment protects freedom of expression, the agency can cancel or refuse to renew the license if there is distortion, fraud, lack of nature, or explicitly.
In Podcast Cruz on Friday, Carr’s decision to abandon the stations accused of definition or wrong data, claiming that “what he said was dangerous like hell.”
“What he says is that Jimmy Kimmil was lying. This is true, he was lying, and lying to the American people is not in the public interest,” Cruz said. “It is explicitly threatening – we will cancel the ABC News license. We will take it out of the air, so you cannot broadcast ABC anymore … it threatens it.”

Cruz compare the formulation of Car with something “out of goodfellas”.
“Jimmy Kimmel has mocked me several times,” he said. “The media of companies – it’s not honest. They are liars. I hate what Jimmy Kimmel said. I am pleased that he had shot. But let me tell you, if the government is working in the field of saying,” We do not like what you are, the media, I have said, we will prevent you from the air waves “… this will end for the sake of the conservatives.”
He added that it might be “attractive” for conservatives to feel that they have the governmental force to ban the media, but walking on this road will harm them when the White Democrat regains.
“The next Democrats, the Federal Communications Committee (FCC) – will control us,” said Cruz. “They will use this strength, and they will use it with mercy, and this is dangerous … They have identified anything left -wing as the wrong information.”

Cruz argued that if he committed one station from the slander related to Kirk or his family, there is already a treatment.
I suggest prosecuting stations for defamation and “Let’s[ting] The process plays. “
“I think it is incredibly dangerous [the] Cruz said: “We will decide that the government will put itself in the position of saying:” We will decide the words that we love and what we do not do, and we will aim to get you out of the air if we do not like what it says.
“So again, Brendan Car loves, but we should not be in this work. We must deny it. It is good to say what Jimmy Kimmel said is unfortunate. He was shameful, and he should be out of the air, but we should not aim to force him to exit. This is a real mistake.”

During a press conference at the White House Office on Friday, President Donald Trump said he was inconsistent with Cruz’s confirmation, describing Kar as “brave”.
“I think Brendan is an incredible American national country with courage,” Trump said. “I remember in the old days, that the networks wanted to re-license, it was always a big problem. They had to show honesty and integrity. … I think Brendan Car does not like to see the use of air waves illegally and incorrectly-incorrectly, terrible. [He] He does not like to see a person who won the elections in the ground collapse gets 97 % bad advertising before the elections. I mean, it is amazing that I won the elections … people did not give the networks any credibility. “

During the Biden Administration, a non -profit institution called the Media and Democracy project in 2023 submitted a FCC Communications Committee (FCC) asking that the renewal of the license of a local station owned by Fox in Philadelphia, pointing to Fox coverage associated with the elections.
The Federal Communications Committee, under the then President Jessica Rosenorssel, refused to seek a petition on January 16, four days before Trump took office for a second, indicating that he would “disagree with the first amendment” that the government deny the renovations based on the protected speech and content, according to court documents.
Cruz’s office did not immediately respond to the Fox News Digital request for comment.
