Daisy Ridley stars as ICU nurse turned MMA fighter in ‘Killa Bee’
Exclusive: star wars Alum Daisy Ridley is set to star in the true story of an ICU nurse who became a fierce mixed martial arts fighter.
Kill me It will tell the story of Bryony Tyrell, a mother of two with a Masters in Nursing and a degree in Molecular Biology who worked in an ICU by day, overcame the challenges of the NHS, and by night transformed into one of Britain’s pioneering cage fighters.
The Southampton nurse started kickboxing at university and worked her way up to a black belt before branching out into martial arts. She began competing as an amateur before moving to the professional ranks and winning multiple belts.
“Bryony’s story is one of extraordinary courage and resilience. I was deeply moved by her emotional and empowering journey. I can’t wait to bring her spirit to the screen,” Ridley said today.
Capture will launch global sales for the project ahead of next week’s US Film Market. Production is scheduled to begin in the second quarter of 2026.
The film is written by Ruth Sewell and directed by Kenton Oxley.joy) and is produced by Knockout Productions in association with Picture Perfect and Moviehouse Entertainment. The production team includes producers Lucinda Thackerar (Boudica: Queen of War), Mark Fiennes (Funny cow) and executive producer Michael Foster.
