Democratic influencer Chris Mowry believes solar panels generate power in the dark and windmills don’t need wind – Twitchy
The Democratic Party is hungry for power, but at least one member doesn’t understand how electricity is generated. On Friday, Democratic social media activist Chris Morey attacked Republican Virginia gubernatorial candidate Winsome Earl Sears, claiming she is scientifically illiterate. Why? Because she doesn’t share his strange belief that solar panels work at night, and that windmills don’t need wind power to generate power. Lord, save us from these democrats.
Here’s Morrie’s ignorant online post. (reads)
The Republican candidate in Virginia believes that solar panels don’t work when it’s dark outside and that windmills don’t work when there’s “no wind.”
Amazing levels of incompetence and rubbish.

Do you have a patent for sunless solar panels and windless windmills? I didn’t see that in a quick patent search.

No, it’s just stupid.
Commentators working in the solar and wind industries quickly dispelled Mori’s magical thinking.
Hello, Virginia-based energy policy analyst here.
Yes, @winwithwinsome It is true that solar panels do not work optimally because they depend on the weather.
That’s why Virginia’s energy mix consists mostly of natural gas and nuclear (87%).
Solar energy operates optimally at 25% per year. The least reliable power source today. Even with battery storage, it is a lower quality source.
If solar energy is great and affordable, it doesn’t need subsidies. However, he is completely dependent on them.
Thank you for coming to this Ted Talk.

I work for one of the largest energy brokerages in the world and we are responsible for most of the solar farms in New York State and they absolutely do not operate at night. The batteries attached to it are present and hold the converted power during the day.

So batteries store energy, but neither solar panels nor windmills produce energy when the driving forces they rely on are not there. It makes sense when it’s all laid out.
No wonder Democrats couldn’t figure it out. The posters couldn’t stop laughing at Mori.
So “solar” energy occurs at night without the sun? We have obtained that it can be stored in batteries. But, no, solar panels don’t “work” at night.

Are you suggesting that the Moon produces solar energy?
– Kevin Smith (@kevin_smith45) October 9, 2025
Chris is ordering moon panels as we speak.

We should call them Moon Mats and sell them to the Democrats. Some “lunar energy” goes along with their madness. We can sell the Democrats stock in a new company called Inert-G, which sells non-rotating windmills too!
Editor’s note: Schumer close here. Instead of putting the American people first, Chuck Schumer and the radical Democrats imposed a government shutdown of health care for illegal immigrants. They own this.
