Democrats in Texas attracted support from the governor of Illinois JB Pritzker, who described the Democrats’ decision to flee Texas “a brave act”, and accused the Republicans of trying to silence “millions of votes, especially black and Latin voters.”

“The Democrats in Texas were not left without a choice but to leave their mother’s mandate, and to prohibit voting from occurring and protecting their voters,” Pritzker said at a press conference on Sunday.
