Pro Football Hall of Famer Bill Cowher called out the Miami Dolphins after their 31-6 loss to the Cleveland Browns on the road Sunday afternoon.
The Dolphins struggled in all phases of the game. Tua Tagovailoa had three interceptions as part of a four-turnover game. And there weren’t a lot of great answers about why Miami had such a tough game in the postgame press conference.

Cowher called the team to CBS.
“In the second half of that game, they almost seemed uninterested,” he said. “They looked deflated. They almost looked like…there was nothing left in the tank. They almost disengaged. I’m just talking the way I saw it. Tua turned the ball over (three times). The defense gave up some big plays.”
“It’ll be interesting to see what happens there. There’s been a lot of talk about the lack of structure inside the building… We don’t know what’s going on inside the building, because we’re not there. But we see the product on the field. And now, there are some issues in Miami.”
Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel said there were “frustrated players” on the field.

“We can’t let it seep into our play and stop us from executing. So I mean the list goes on. Minus 4 (turns) and 100-yard shootout, two formulas that will generally equate to an instant loss, no matter what you do.” “So, you know, I think we didn’t expect that to happen in terms of our setup, but definitely, 100%, you have to evaluate everything.
“You know, I think it’s the case that – no one, no player, no coach has clean hands and we have to get back to work, starting with me, and do better. We have an opponent in the NFL and a game next week and we have a lot of work to do, and in the meantime, this was a step back from the way we play football. I thought we had growth and growth in general without results is a good thing for your time. In this Case in point, it wasn’t good enough. “You know, you can go forward on any tangent and we have, at least partly true, no matter what angle you take when you get hit like that.”
McDaniel added that he is not worried about his job security.
