FOIA emails show VA school board member sides with sex offenders using girls’ locker room – Twitchy

Reading this today after watching Abigail Spanberger stutter and stammer when asked about allowing men into girls’ locker rooms last night during her appalling debate is beyond condemnation. Richard Cox is a registered sex offender who appears to believe he is a woman and therefore should be allowed to use women’s private spaces.

And of course, all of this is happening in Northern Virginia.

We know you are shocked.

This story gets creepier and horrifying… It turns out that one school board member felt sorry for the predator when asked how long he would remain naked in the locker room, and expressed hope that he wouldn’t face any transphobic comments from the staff.

These are the people who vote for Abigail Spanberger.

Emails are nuts.

New emails obtained under a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request reveal emails Ricky Cox sent to an Arlington school board member late last year.

According to Arlington police, prosecutors and Arlington school staff, “Ricky Cox” is an alias used by registered sex offender Richard Cox late last year. Late last year, Arlington County Public Schools (APS) pool staff allowed Cox, a biological male, to use women’s locker rooms at two high schools that had pools open to the public outside school hours because Cox claimed to be a transgender woman. APS policy allows people to use bathrooms and locker rooms based on their gender identity if they choose.

Here’s the crazy part:

Cox then followed up with Clark on October 31, 2024, writing that he had been insulted by pool staff at Washington Liberty High School.

“They literally asked me how long I would be in the bathroom and had other patrons use the single locker room while I was in the full locker room,” he wrote. “This again sends the message that a trans person is weird and I think they’re not as normal and beautiful as everyone else. There are anti-discrimination laws at the federal, state, and county levels including schools to prevent this type of hostility. Will you increase the training of Washington Liberty Pool staff and/or change their policies to be welcoming or inclusive, or should I vote for someone else?”

Her response?

Clark responded to Cox on October 31, 2024, “Based on the information you provided in your first email, I suspect that the locker room etiquette in point #3 of the APS Aquatics update email shown in the screenshot below was an issue. I hope you will not encounter transphobic statements from staff. You should be able to use the restrooms and locker rooms that you feel most comfortable using.”

Little girls use that locker room.

The fact that Abigail Spanberger refused to answer questions about allowing men into young girls’ locker rooms is just damning after reading this.
