French prisons targeted in a “terrorist attack” related to drugs, “says the minister

The Minister of Justice in France said on Tuesday that the attacks of weapons and intentional burning on at least six prisons throughout the country were terrorist acts addressed to security officials accused of guarding some of the most solid crime stadiums in the country.

Justice Minister Gerald Darmanin, who is visiting Tolon Prison in southern France, who was launched at his entrance to the automatic AK-47 rifle, said he could not be sure whether the attacks are linked to government efforts to form a fast-growing drug trade in France.

But he said that the authorities make life more difficult for the imprisoned gangs, and the government will not be ashamed of treating drug crimes, which strengthened support for the extreme right.

“The Republic will not retreat,” he told reporters. “These are very serious crimes … an attack on public prison service, that is, a terrorist attack.”

Years of cocaine records in South America have turned the local pharmaceutical markets, which sparked a wave of violence.

Although standard cocaine attacks in France, the gangs make a surprise as they expand from traditional energy rules in cities such as Marseille to smaller cities that are not used for drug violence.

Darmanin, who is planning to create new highly security prisons to take strict measures for gangsters who run their empires behind bars, said that at least six prisons have been targeted.

UFAP Officers Union said that vehicles were burning outside the prisons in Philipinte, Nanterre, AIX-Luynes and Valence. In Nancy, the prison officer was threatened at home, while he was in Marseille, there was a deliberate attempt.

The PNA’s Prosecutor’s Office (PNAT) has said that he took responsibility for the investigation of the attacks, which also targeted the National Prison Administration School. PNAT said that local intelligence officers in France will help in the investigation.

“The nature of these facts, the selected goals and the combined nature to take measures related to providing multiple points in the region, as well as the goal of disturbing public order seriously through intimidation, at this stage, at this stage, the National Prosecutor’s Office to Combat Terrorism said in his statement.

PNAT said its investigation may include charges, including an attempt to kill with a terrorist group committed against a person as public authority.

Darmanin said that it is unusual for PNAT, instead of the prosecutors in the specialized organized crime, to assume the responsibility of the investigation, but it was justified by the national scope of attacks against state symbols.

The “DDPF” messages-apparently a shortcut to “French prisoners’ rights”-in many attack sites, and police sources indicated that it could be the work of a strict left group.

Darmanin said that there were DDPF groups in Telegram and a sign that encouraged attacks against prisons, but “there was no responsibility.”

He said: “I do not know who is behind this slogan, and I do not care because what I remember is not that the prison door has been marked, but it was photographed by Kalashnikov.”

Darmanin said that the prison attacks reminded him of the contracts granted to gangs for threats, attacks or killing competitors.

“We generally see such things between thugs; we rarely see it against the forces of the Republic,” he said.

Interior Minister Bruno Retailio said that he had instructed law enforcement to intensify the protection of employees and prisons.

The height of the gang crime has increased from the support of the extremist National Rally Party and helped with withdrawing French policy to the right.

Darmanin has suggested measures to tighten prison security, including the construction of high -security prisons to isolate the best 100 kingspins in the country.

Legislators are also approaching a new law to combat surgery trafficking, which will create a new office for prosecutors in the national organizational crime and grants greater investigation authorities to the drug gang police.

The authorities scored a victory in February, when they recovered Mohamed Omar, the French fugitive known as “The Fly”. The prominent escaped, as he was transferred from prison to court, which led to the death of two prisoners.
