Grad, Saint Francis, is reflected in the survival of the September 11 terrorist attacks

On Thursday, it coincides with the twenty -fourth anniversary of September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks This witnessed two aircraft, transferring to the twin towers in New York, killing nearly 3000.

Kevin Danny was there. The graduate of Saint Francis and the father of the golden back Luke Danny reflects every memory of how he fled from the 61st of the southern tower.

He said: “I am so lucky that there were many who sacrificed my rescue.”

Danny narrated his story to Ra Grid audience earlier this week at a meeting of the Association of Christian Youths QB, where he was president.

He was 22 years old, a modern graduate from Oxidental College and was sent to Morgan Stanley in New York to start training in twin towers on September 10, 2001. The next morning, the matter ended with a 15 -minute training meeting because the speaker went long, so he decided not to go to the surveillance surface on the 107th floor.

Instead, he looked at a window and saw what he thought was sweets around it, which were papers from the heels of a plane traveling in the northern tower. Soon he saw the fire. Initially, it was not recommended to evacuate the southern tower. But Danny said that the chief of security, Rick Resourla, had passed orders and asked everyone to leave.

When Danny reached the 55th floor walking on the stairs, he heard an explosion. “The walls are cracked,” he said.

It was a plane hitting the southern tower.

“I knew it was a terrorist attack,” he said. “I started going down and the firefighters who climbed the stairs. It took 45 minutes to evacuate.”

When he came out, he said, “I saw both of them both.”

He went to find a paid phone so that he could call his loved ones and tell them that he is fine. Then the towers began to collapse.

“I heard Qaqa,” he said. “It has passed 57 minutes since I hit the plane. I saw the dust cloud. I turned and ran.”

Danny said he had learned that the security man, Rakorla, after accompanying the employees abroad, returned again to make sure everyone was evacuated from the office. The security man and 343 firefighters perished in an attempt to help others.

Danny said: “I have seen a lot of championship work,” Danny said.

He was returning to his future wife, Helen, at the time. They got married in the end and their son Locke was born. This week, he will enjoy watching Locke Luke, the back of the back of Strethers in St. Francis on Friday night against Muir.

Kevin said: “Every September 11, he says,” Dad, I am happy because you are here. “
