How to connect your phone to almost any TV to play your videos

I recently took a holiday where my friends wanted to watch a TV event flowing on their phones, but our Airbnb TV did not include the matching application for us to run it or a cable subscription. Fortunately, the TV was addicted to the Apple TV box, and its operation on the TV was a simple issue of launching AirPlay from the iPhone and unlike the larger screen.

While fortunately we had access to that Apple TV Box, this is not completely necessary anymore. Several TVs are now shipping with compact support for AirPlay, ChromeCast or Miracast, all allow you to connect your phone wirelessly. The most difficult part is whether you can connect your phone to the TV, because perhaps you can. Instead, you will need to know the wireless casting connection that your phone supports and make sure that the TV you want to connect also supports it.

We will talk about how this works, based on whether you are using an iPhone or Android phone. We will also indicate how long you will use AirPlay, ChromeCast or Miracast to make a connection, depending on the device you have.

Supports iPhone AirPlay and Chromecast

Apple iPhone devices have two ways to wirelessly connect to a TV. At the system, iPhone can use AirPlay to throw media from video and music apps to any device that also supports AirPlay. This was originally exclusive to Apple TV, but AirPlay now supports many TVs inserted by Samsung, LG, TCL and Vizio, along with Roku broadcasts. The possibilities are if your device supports the Apple TV app, somewhere in its settings is also AirPlay support.

You can access the broadcast in one of two ways. If you are using a subsidized application like Paramount Plus, you will need to click on the AirPlay icon represented by a TV with a triangle. You can also access the AirPlay from the control center of your phone by clicking on the symbol represented by two rectangles and then choosing the device that casts it. Using the last option, you can also reflect your phone screen to the TV to view applications like Instagram or Tiktok that does not include AirPlay from the inside.

The biggest exception to this Apple TV base to find AirPlay is Google’s ChromeCast Devices and TVs that run the Google TV operating system, but iPhone also supports Chromecast. Similar to the use of AirPlay from the media application, you will click on the Chromecast icon represented by a rectangle with three wavy lines. You will then click on the device you want to throw. The biggest difference between how AirPlay works on iPhone and ChromeCast is that you will not be able to reverse your iPhone via Chromecast.

Some applications like YouTube will mix these casting options together for rest. When clicking on the Google Chromecast button, the sub -menu will allow you to choose between AirPlay or Chromecast or directly link to YouTube application for TV using a code.

And if you want to connect your iPhone to the TV using HDMI cable, you can use either USB-C to HDMI transformer If you have iPhone 15, newer or a Lightning-To-HDMI adapter for iPhone 14 and above. This transformer will allow the copy of the screen without using AirPlay.

Although it is not supported on every Android phone, Samsung and Motorola make Android phones that support Miracast to reverse the congressional copies of the screen. These features are categorized as a smart and ready -to -display method, respectively, and will allow you to connect your phone to TV or offers that support a setting that intends to reversal of the screen. What is unique in Miracast is that many Windows computers also support this pattern of casting, and during my last journey that was at hand to play some JackBox games.

An additional note about the Samsung Smart and Motorola ready view is that both support connecting your phone to a TV screen or computer using a USB-C cable to HDMI, if one is at hand. This may be particularly useful if you are trying to do more intense data on your phone, such as connecting a larger screen to use your phone like a computer.

Although many TV and broadcasting devices support one or more of these methods, it is still completely possible that when traveling you will not have a perfect match. For example, you may have Android, but TV in your hotel room only supports broadcast or blocks access to the HDMI port. But for home use, and now that many TVs support multiple communication options, there is a good opportunity to prepare a method for daily display.

You will also need to consider it to a large extent with the video flow, your network can also affect the effectiveness of your TV wireless connection. Whenever possible, you will want to get your phone near the router as much as possible, which will help contact. If your video quality is deteriorating during broadcasting, you may also want to turn off and play it again to reset the connection.

But as long as your phone and television can call one of the above methods, you should be free to flow any movies or music from your phone on the TV.
