Injury Tracker: Updates on Lamar Jackson, AJ Brown, Garrett Wilson, and more
No matter how hard teams try to avoid them, injuries remain a constant throughout a given season, and the upcoming Week 8 slate is no exception. Despite being a smaller group of matches featuring six teams in total, there are plenty of notable players who are doubtful.
We already know that the Washington Commanders will be without quarterback Jayden Daniels for Monday night’s matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs. Meanwhile, Terry McLaurin’s wide standing is also in question in that competition. Aside from Washington’s struggle with the injury bug, we’re monitoring the statuses of Lamar Jackson, AJ Brown, Seuss Gardner, Garrett Wilson, and others.

Both Huntington and Njoku were limited on Friday, so both have a good chance of qualifying in Week 8. As for Sanders, he was added to the injury report on Saturday and is officially questionable with a back injury. The Browns also elevated quarterback Bailey Zappe from the practice squad, which could indicate Sanders will miss Sunday’s game.
Meanwhile, the Patriots are healthy with only one player, Kyle Dugger, listed on the injury report. Dugger was limited Friday with a knee injury.

After appearing on the injury report on Thursday with a hamstring injury, Jaylen Waddle was a full participant on Friday and carried no designation.
Atlanta lists quarterback Michael Penix Jr. as questionable after he was limited all week of practice with a knee injury. However, when asked this week if he expected to play on Sunday, he said: “That’s the plan.”

Jones, Palmer and Rapp practiced this week, so the Bills ultimately decided to cut them is not a huge surprise. Head coach Sean McDermott indicated that Rabb will be placed on injured reserve, meaning he will miss at least four games.
Young did not participate in practice all week, and was officially listed as questionable for Week 8. That means veteran Andy Dalton is in line to start for Carolina. Meanwhile, no other players have an injury designation for this game, which includes defensive tackle Cam Jackson, who missed Thursday’s session due to illness. He returned on Friday as a full participant.

Chicago will be without a number of notable figures in Week 8, including in the secondary with both Gordon and Stevenson sidelined. Meanwhile, with Kimmitt out, it could open the door for first-round rookie Colston Loveland to see more opportunities. As for D’Andre Swift, he was limited on Thursday and Friday.
The Ravens initially listed Lamar Jackson as a full participant during Friday’s practice and he was questionable for Week 8. However, the team has since updated its practice report to note that Jackson was limited and ruled out, meaning he will miss another game with his hamstring injury. NFL Media It was reported that Jackson only worked on the scout team on Friday, which is an indication that he will not be ready to return. With Jackson out, Snoop Huntley will start at quarterback.
After recording the full practice on Friday, the Ravens listed Lamar Jackson as questionable for Sunday. Considering that Jackson’s participation in practices improved as the week progressed (limited, limited, then full), it appears he is on his way back.

Despite being listed on the injury report with an ankle injury, quarterback Jackson Dart has no rating heading into Week 8, so he should be OK. As for Holland, he did not train at all this week and has since been downgraded to out. Meanwhile, Burns practiced on a limited basis on Friday, giving him a chance to play despite his questionable status.
AJ Brown will miss Week 8 after the star was unable to practice at all this week due to a hamstring injury. Meanwhile, Brandon Graham, who just came out of retirement this week, will need more time before returning to the field and will not play this weekend.

The San Francisco 49ers will once again be without quarterback Brock Purdy after the team ruled him out for Week 8. In his place, Mac Jones will get another start as he was not designated on the final injury report. On a more positive note, coach Kyle Shanahan indicated on Friday that the team could open the practice window for Brandon Aiyuk next week.
Houston will be down two of its top wide receivers in Week 8 after leaving out Nico Collins and Christian Kirk. That should create a lot of excitement for starters Jayden Higgins and Jaylen Noel. Neither Collins or Kirk practiced at all this week.

New York downgraded Tyrod Taylor to out on Saturday and named Justin Fields the starter for Week 8. The Jets will also lose two of their biggest stars in Week 8 as Garrett Wilson and Soos Gardner were both ruled out.
Trey Hendrickson is not trending in the right direction, despite his questionable status. After being limited on Wednesday and Thursday, the edge rusher did not practice on Friday.

Rookie Emeka Egbuka is off the injury report after logging a full practice on Friday, so he is available for Week 8. This comes after the receiver missed Wednesday’s practice and was limited Thursday with a hamstring injury. Quarterback Baker Mayfield is also unrated, despite being limited Friday with a knee injury.
New Orleans enters Week 8 very healthy with no players named for the game.

Trevon Diggs was unable to practice at all this week, and has been ruled out since. Meanwhile, both Oversown and Revel remain on injured reserve and their returns will have to wait at least another week although practices are limited throughout the week. Tyler Guyton, who appeared limited Thursday with a buttock injury, was limited again Friday and is officially questionable.
The Denver Broncos are healthy in Week 8, and players with no classification were not included in the final injury report.

Calvin Ridley remains sidelined with the Titans, and Tennessee is without a key playmaker on defense as well in Jeffery Simmons. Neither of them practiced at all this week due to hamstring injuries.
Wide receiver Josh Downs cleared concussion protocol, logging back-to-back complete practices, and the Colts did not give him a Week 8 assignment, meaning he will suit up.

Green Bay rookie running back Matthew Golden appeared on the injury report on Friday with a hip injury and is now officially questionable. Meanwhile, running back Josh Jacobs is out injured after being limited all week of practice.
After being given the day off on Thursday, DK Metcalf returned as a full participant in practice on Friday and is not designated for Week 8.

Washington won’t have Jayden Daniels in this game, but it will have its top two receivers as coach Dan Quinn confirmed Terry McLaurin and Deebo Samuel will play on Monday night.
Josh Simmons is still away from the team due to a personal issue, and has been officially ruled out. Meanwhile, goalkeeper Trey Smith is a doubt after not practicing all week. Running back Kareem Hunt (ankle, knee) is unrated so he will play Monday night.
