On many social media sites, messages about food and diet are everywhere. Watch your TikTok “For You” feed for more than a few minutes — the recommended content for a particular user of the app — and you’ll almost certainly see a video in which someone shows you #whatieatinaday (#wieiad for short), or explains how their diet changed their body.
