“It was enough to convert my outlook on the middle class into dust”: the declared chickpeas and the teacher, tasted and classified it | Beans, legumes and legumes

II got out of the text here and the classification of abstract chickpeas and canned/protected panels separately, because they are different monsters – and with the price point to reflect them. However, I was surprised by the pleasure of some of the most prominent forefront in the canned section, one of which is about to save me a good amount of money and I trade in an expensive expensive chickpea habit for a more economical alternative, but not less merit.

To taste it somewhat, it drained and rinsed each one separately, described it in the vessels, then taste it side by side. Those that I thought would benefit more than cooking each of them went to separate basins of the Malay sauce (albeit without cream) and they were covered, and partially covered, for 25 minutes. The results were excellent in all cases except for one case.

What a pleasant surprise! Smaller than the declared chickpeas you tried, but so soft that they competed even those full. They come a light seasoned, and they are really somewhat beautiful eaten by the spoon. You can wear their clothes with small olive oil and lemon juice for power, and it will be wonderfully cooked with Indian dates. I look where I can buy these in large quantities as quickly as possible.

sky. Class, completely seasoned and soft. Once it is drained and rinsed, they do not even need olive oil to improve it – like Bridge Jones, this is ideal as it is. They will raise any dish that requires nice cooking, such as chickpeas, instead of boiling circulating. My children adore them, even if that means unsalted food for the rest of the week.

★★★ ☆☆

The only tin without a ring field, which is trouble, because I hate shanty open (although I own one). Otherwise, you are very admired: this small chickpeas is very seasoned, and smoothly soft so that you can easily use it in salad, seasoned with oil, lemon juice and texture of more salt. They will also be excellent cooked, in curry or roasted with spices for a snack or salad. Excellent and very economical.

Very close to the second of Brindisa Jarred. Less than seasoned with a larger part of the texture, although it’s still very soft. You will definitely not need to cook it – they will be ideal for the top of salad or the manufacture of luxurious chickpeas that are ridiculous, although it will be a shame that it will have such a pleasant texture. Wait for them to be shown, because it is expensive for a small stroke.

Bold Bean Co organic chickpeas

★★★ ☆

A good seasoned, less than the other two brands of rock, but hardly nothing in it. I was happily eaten this spoon without dislocating, in salad or lightly cooked – they were working well with Halloumi In this tabboulehBecause it is less salty than other offers.

Chickpeas

★★★ ☆

This medium -sized chickpea comes in a cartoon and is beautiful and soft, if not. I would have put them happily in the chickpea salad at room temperature with a lot of salt, although it would be an excellent cooker as well-they were very well working in Everyone is baked curryFor example.

Napolina chickpeas in water

78p for 400 g in ASDA
12 pounds sterling for 12 x 400 grams in Amazon
★★★ ☆☆

I picked up the episode’s throat when I tried to open the tin, but it might be more than my efficiency. Once it is drained and rinsed, these large chickpeas are not unreasonable and slightly inconsistent with the texture – some are soft, some are a little bit. It was so similar to the M & S water that I found them difficult for them to dismantle. But what a difference in cooking! I shocked them from two to three stars because after cooking it for 25 minutes in a spiced, spiced sauce, it was great, and the flavors and improvement in the texture are absorbed. I will be very happy to cook with this again.

Chefs and shared chickpeas

1.20 pounds for 400 g in Okado
10.17 pounds for 12 x 400 grams in Amazon
★★★ ☆☆

Smoothly soft and small, this has a pleasant light flavor, although it is unreasonable. It is definitely good enough to go in room temperature salad, or if you do not mind using declared chickpeas instead of that dried dried for chickpeas, you will work well as well. Just do not overcome tahini: this was the only chickpeas with a clear flavor other than salt or its absence, so do not want to hide this with a load of sesame.

M & S in water

60p for 400 grams in Ocado
★★ ☆☆☆

These large chickpeas, like the Napoleina show, were slightly inconsistent – some were very soft, others are active. I will not use it in salad, but they were fine as soon as it cooks for 25 minutes, and they absorb a lot of flavor, if it remains more important than Napolina. The cooking time is a little longer to treat it.

The basic chickpeas in water

65p for 400 grams in Waitrose
☆☆☆☆

I love Waitrose. Love, truly I love it – products, lighting, and a reassuring feeling that nothing bad can happen there (see also John Lewis). But no more. only one Among these chickpeas was sufficient to convert my outlook on the middle class into dust. Because, inside these elaborate and reassuring corridors, these monsters lie – Hummus is so unpleasant that, according to the second taste, I was re -backdowned by the sink. Dry, chalk, and despite my best hopes, so that it is not recovered by 25 minutes over low heat. My husband, who was more measured, described it as “comfortably worse”. (I kindly suggested that if I did not like Waitrose a lot, I might be a traumaticly less discomfort than the tin of truly comfortable chickpeas.) Whatvs. They lost their last star to waste a frying pan of the excellent Malay sauce.
