For Kay Trump, a round of golf with her grandfather is just another day in the life of her 18-year-old high school student. However, there is the obvious drawback that her grandfather is the President of the United States.

“I don’t consider him a president. I consider him my grandfather. We’ll go out there and play golf,” Kay said in a recent interview with Fox News Digital. “We play golf all the time. This is nothing new.”

Their latest round came with a bit of a twist, as the two played a best-ball round at Trump National Golf Club, in Washington, D.C., just outside the nation’s capital. This was for the whole world to see.

The course was apparently closed as the Trumps made their way through what they both said would be the “perfect US Open,” but Kay filmed the round as part of her YouTube channel, with a video titled “Playing golf with President Donald Trump (my grandfather).”

When Kay presented the idea to her grandfather, the president’s approval was resounding.

“There were definitely a lot of moving parts, but he was 100 percent prepared for it,” Kay said. “He’s great when it comes to this kind of stuff. He loved the idea, and it all worked out. For me, it’s playing a game with my grandfather. I had a great time with him, and he made it easy. It was really great to shoot with him.”

She added: “Whenever I have time, he will always make time to play golf with me. If I call him tomorrow and ask to play golf next Saturday, he will make time for it. That’s one of his really good qualities – he always makes time for his family.”

The Accelerator Active Energy can appears frequently in the video, as Kai became an investor in the brand and had a NIL deal with it before enrolling at the University of Miami to play college golf.

“Our brands mesh really well,” Kay said. “I love energy drinks, I always have, and the opportunity came up and it’s been great working with each other ever since.” “The actual drink is great too. No sugar, love the team, love the drink, and it’s worked out great.”

Kay’s next vlog will feature her grandfather again, this time from last month’s Ryder Cup, where she was able to watch the opening shots at Bethpage Black and even share a hug with Bryson DeChambeau.

“It was really cool to go to the Ryder Cup because I love golf and my whole life is golf. I watch it every time it’s on TV, so it was nice to go and see it,” Kay said.

However, she thought the fans were “too much” for Team Europe.

“I love Rory, and I love all the European guys too,” she said.

Kay is only 18 years old, and she has the whole world ahead of her. Right now, she’s focusing on academics during her final year of high school before officially becoming a Hurricane. But there are other goals to consider.

“Obviously one of my biggest goals is definitely to play professional golf. So after college, I’m going to try to do that and do my best,” she said. “And then maintaining my social relationships. Pretty much everything I do now, I just take it to the next level.”
