The sixth week of NFL The season has finally arrived, and once again injuries are a major story – especially after several important players suffered injuries in Week 5 that could impact this week and even the rest of the season. Roach practiced fully on Thursday and Friday after being limited on Wednesday. This seems to point to him being available on Sunday. Powers is still on IR and working his way back into the lineup. Ellis’ absence will deplete the edge rushing depth chart somewhat.

The Jets could be without a pair of cornerbacks here, as Stevens was limited Friday after not being on the injury report on Wednesday or Thursday. Lazard did not travel with the team to London.

The Rams could be very short on offense here as Havenstein is unlikely to play, Parkinson is working through the concussion protocol and Atwell is likely out after being limited Thursday and Friday with a midweek hamstring injury.

Crows are still deadly. Jackson will miss another game and Cooper Rush will start in his place. They get some players back defensively but still don’t have Smith, Awuzie, or several players on the offensive line who have been placed on injured reserve. And if Flowers can’t go, Rush will be without his main target at wide receiver.

  • Cowboys: G Tyler Booker (calf), CB Kaylen Carson (knee), WR CeeDee Lamb (ankle), WR Jonathan Mingo (knee), LB Jack Sanborn (concussion), RB Myles Sanders (knee/ankle), WR Kavontae Turpin (foot) are out; CB DaRon Bland (shoulder), T Ajani Cornelius (knee), CB Trevon Diggs (knee), DE Marshawn Kneeland (ankle), G Tyler Smith (knee) questionable
  • Panthers: WR Jalen Coker (quadriceps), RB Chuba Hubbard (calf), RT Taylor Moton (elbow), DT Tershaun Wharton (toe), CB Akailip Evans (hamstring). CB Mike Jackson (ribs), CB Chau Smith-Wade (chest), TE Ja’Tavion Sanders (ankle) are questionable.

There is still a lot up in the air for the Cowboys, especially on the offensive line and in the secondary. They will get Tyler Guyton back but Booker is out and Smith remains questionable after being limited this week. The absence of Lamb and Turpin leaves George Pickens, Jalen Tolbert and Ryan Flournoy as the top targets on the outside. Sanders goes on injured reserve, which means more playing time for rookie Jaydon Bleu. The cornerback situation in Dallas is in flux with Bland and Diggs questionable and Carson still working his way back from IR.

The Panthers will ask Rico Dowdle to fill in for Hubbard once again, and they will be without an important part of their offensive line. Sanders was limited on Friday and appears to be at least getting closer to playing. If the cornerbacks can’t make corner kicks, Carolina will be extremely vulnerable in the secondary to an explosive Dallas passing game. Coker currently remains on IR.

Murray had limited practice on Friday. He will be replaced by Jacoby Brissett if he is unable to start. The defense faces potential injury issues at all three levels, although Milton and Wilson attended limited sessions all week.

Things remain the same for the Colts, who will be without one of their backups in Jonathan Taylor, as well as their starting cornerback.

It looks like Seattle’s defense could be severely shorthanded, just like it was last week. The secondary, in particular, could see several absences if all questionable players end up not being ready.

The Jags could be without their starting center here, which would specifically have an impact on the run game given Hainsey’s role.

The Chargers remain incredibly tense almost everywhere, including and especially on offense. They will start multiple backups along the offensive line, and of course they will also be without both Omarion Hampton and Najee Harris in the defensive backfield. If Johnston is out, more passes will flow through Ladd McConkey and Keenan Allen. The linebacker corps could be affected here as well with both Dupree and Perryman listed as questionable.

Miami’s defense, which has been on a tear most of the year, could be pretty shorthanded on this one. Brewer and Duck were limited throughout the week, so their status will likely be determined closer to game time.

Gibson tore his ACL last week and was placed on injured reserve. New England’s defense will be shorthanded here, and it could be more so if star cornerback Gonzalez can’t play. He had limited practice sessions on Thursday and Friday and played each of the last two games.

Kamara was limited in practices all week. If he can’t go, the Saints will use a lot of Kendre Miller. Ridgway remains on injured reserve and is working his way back into the lineup.

Cleveland is healthy here in Dillon Gabriel’s second career start.

Austin’s absence is a blow to Pittsburgh’s passing game. Ramsey trained fully on Friday after not training at all on Wednesday or Thursday. Players who participate in a full session usually play on Sunday. Jaylen Warren is not in playing status and will return after missing Week 4 in Dublin.

Tennessee will have a new kicker on Sunday. Latham is listed as questionable but is expected to return to the lineup. Key’s absence hurts the pass rush, while Jefferson will be out of receiver depth if he is forced to sit.

Powers will miss his second straight game. Michael Mayer is back in the role and will likely fill the role.

  • Bengal: DeShemar Stewart (ankle) is questionable; WR Ja’Marr Chase (illness), G Dylan Fairchild (knee), C Matt Lee (knee), G Lucas Patrick (calf) questionable
  • Packing: DL Devonte White (knee), OT Anthony Belton (ankle), WR Christian Watson (knee) are out; K Brandon McManus (right quad), OT Rasheed Walker (quadriceps), OT Zach Tom (oblique/neck), OG Aaron Banks (groin/knee), CB Nate Hobbs (concussion), C/G Jacob Monk (hamstring) are questionable.

The big news for the Bengals is that Chase was sent home on Friday after he reported feeling ill Thursday night. If he can’t leave, it will greatly hamper their offense in what should be Joe Flacco’s first start. The interior of the offensive line is also a bit damaged with three players listed as questionable.

The Packers have a group of offensive linemen whose situations are in question here. They may have to adjust some things up front, as they have for most of this season. Watson is close to returning from injured reserve but isn’t there yet, while Hobbs remains in the concussion protocol and must pass to be ready for Sunday.

  • 49ers: QB Brock Purdy (toe), WR Ricky Pearsall (knee), DL Kevin Gives (pectoral), DL Yetus Gross-Matos (knee/hamstring), WR Jordan Watkins (calf) are out; WR Jauan Jennings (ankle/rib), QB Mac Jones (knee/oblique), DL Alfred Collins (knee), DL Kalia Davis (hand), S Malik Mustapha (knee), CB Upton Stout (ankle) questionable.
  • Pirates: WR Mike Evans (hamstring), WR Chris Godwin (fibula), RB Bucky Irving (foot/shoulder), CB Zion McCollum (thumb), CB Benjamin Morrison (hamstring), RB Josh Williams (concussion) are out; DB Christian Eisen (quad) is questionable

Purdy is out and Jones is expected to start in his place for the fourth time this season. Pearsall remains out but Jennings could return. Purdy, Pearsall, and George Kittle (still on IR) appear to be potential prospects next week. San Francisco is pretty tight along the defensive line here, but it looks like Mustafa should be back in the secondary after he practiced fully on Friday and was activated from the PUP list.

Tampa will be without two of its top three wide receivers, as well as its starting running back. The Bucs will also be down two of their starting cornerbacks and may be without a backup. The skill positions on both sides are very tense.

Neither Branch, Joseph, Maddox, Decker or Manu practiced on Friday. The Lions will be very weak on defense here, and could be even more so if the three questionable players in the secondary end up not being able to adapt. The potential absence of Decker and Manu will also be an issue for the attacking line. It looks like McNeil is close to returning to the lineup but he’s not ready yet. Amon-Ra St. Brown was not included after missing training at the start of the week with a wrist problem.

Everyone is healthy in Kansas City after Xavier Worthy returned to practice on Friday.

Hamlin goes to injured reserve. Milano will miss his third game of the season, while Sanders is now out on defense getting Ed Oliver back. If Kincaid misses, it will mean more work for Dawson Knox and eventual Jackson Hawes. Samuel has been serving as a back-end rotation guy at wide receiver, so his absence would lead to more work on the depth chart.

Atlanta will be without their No. 2 wide receiver here as Mooney did not practice at all following the bye week. Bowman was limited Friday and Saturday due to his injury. A midweek downgrade is usually not a good sign, but he has an extra day to get healthy enough to play. Cornerback AJ Terrell is out on the injury report and will play Monday.

Chicago will be shorthanded on the defensive line as Garrett will miss his second straight game. If Booker can’t get going well, the Bears will be under another offensive line. Loveland has been out since before the bye but could return here.
