NFL Week 9 grades: Cardinals get ‘A-‘ for dominating Cowboys
Welcome to Week 9 Grades!
the NFL November started out giving us the wildest week of the season.
- The Steelers defense finally showed up for the game by forcing five turnovers in a 27-20 win over the Colts.
- The Bengals’ offense pulled off a miraculous comeback in the final two minutes against the Bears, only to be let down by a historically poor defense that gave up a game-winning 58-yard TD pass with just 17 seconds left to play.
- Jaguars kicker Cam Little set an NFL record with a 68-yard field goal in a win over the Raiders.
- Bo Nix led another strong fourth-quarter comeback for the Denver Broncos in an 18-15 victory over the Houston Texans.
- The Carolina Panthers went to Green Bay and stunned the Packers by a score of 16-13.
- Josh Allen outplayed Patrick Mahomes with a nearly perfect passing performance in Buffalo’s 28-21 win over Kansas City.
- Sam Darnold had a perfect first half against the Chiefs, going 16 of 16 for 284 yards and four touchdowns in the first two quarters of Seattle’s 38-14 win. Darnold is the only quarterback in the last 35 years to complete 100% of his passes for at least 250 yards and four touchdowns in one half.
- The last game of Week 9 gave us an upset in Dallas with the Cardinals beating the Cowboys 27-17. It was only the second time in the past four seasons that the Cowboys lost as home favorites, dropping them to 18-2 in that span.
It’s been a week full of surprises, and we’ll be dishing out our own surprises by rating each game, starting with Arizona’s impressive win over Dallas.
