Now Nhra Top Fuel, Tony Stewart dishes – not – in his future

Tony Stewart still knows how much time will compete in his alternative role for his wife Leah Broito, in her roundabout at NHRA Top Fuel Dragster.

What he knows is, when he finally leaves, he will have at least one victory over his autobiography.

The Cup champion hopes three times to get more victories, but his victory on Sunday in Las Vegas was one in history books. It was also the one who finished some frustration, because it replaced Lea at the beginning of last season when they decided to start a family.

Their child, Dominic, was born in November, and they were with them for Lin’s victory on Sunday.

“When do you plan to return to the car? I have no answer,” Stewart told Fox Sports on Tuesday. “But I can tell you that the thing I was sure of it was very clear to her at any moment that it decides to return to the car, and I will go out.

“If this is the middle of the season, it is the middle of the season.”

Pruett plans to do some tests this summer to see how you feel that it is rewriting the car.

“I want her to drive her race,” Stewart said of their family -owned team. “So whenever she is ready, and whenever she wants it, I want her to do that. She told me that she is at this point, she is happy because she was not because the amount of work it takes to care for always and do the work she is doing in the race track with our partners and with the race team itself. It is all you can deal with now.

“So I don’t expect anything that changes before the end of the year. But again, its decision will be when you want to return to the car.”

While carrying out media tours on Tuesday, Stewart said in a session with reporters that they are still trying to know what his role will be when Betwyo is resuming the race. He is not sure he wants to race against his wife. Nevertheless, the team has separate cars for them due to the difference in size and seat and how to place the feet boxes.

“We have started these talks about what life seems to be in the next two years to return to the car. One of the main variables in its equation, what does this look for me behind the wheel of the car?” Stewart said.

“So we are trying to know that.”

What Stewart does not have to discover is how to win. In the drawing race, the car is a large part of the equation. Stewart said he was frustrated because he struggled during the 2024 season. He said that his team fought the ability to control the car, and when they made the amendments, they corrected the original problem and caused new issues.

Stewart said: “I was never in a form of motorsport. It took a long time to be a dispute to win and win a race,” Stewart said. “But again, it makes sense when you realize that you are 30 percent of the equation, not 70.

“This part was really frustrated, frankly.”

Four events in the 2025 season, Stewart is ranked second in the ranking. However, he will not allow himself to think about winning the normal NHRA season.

“We are second in points, not because we have the fastest car, but because we were consistent, and we [advancing out of] Tours, “Stewart said.

“We have to stay in the course. We still have a long way to go to get the speed … We have a big smile on our face that we are there points at the present time. But this will not change our approach and the way we feel about us now.”

Regarding what the future holds, Stewart has excluded some things.

It will not return to Indycar, regardless of how difficult it is to try to persuade him. The fans were pleading with him to take another shot in winning Indianapolis 500, a race he did not win during his Indycar career.

“The last time I was in Indicar was 2001,” Stewart said. “Until now over 20 years, to go there, and even I think I will be able to compete, in my opinion, is very unrealistic.

“Do I feel that I can make the race and have a strong offer? I feel I can do that, but I don’t feel I have what it takes. These men are very good in these cars and have a good feeling and read what these cars are and what the car needs. I don’t feel that I will be able to give it to the team to help … to get a profit car.

“I have already received enough participating awards from Indy.”

It will not re -introduce NASCAR as the owner of the team. Its NHRA program is supported by Dodge, which deepens the process of starting a program in the NASCAR trucks series.

“I told them that I will do anything I can to help them,” said Stewart, who stopped the Stewart Haas race from the operations last season. “It is clear now [the plans] It is just a truck program [for Dodge]. … we will do everything we can help. But I will not have a team in Naskar again. “
