Our favorite earbuds for Android users are $60 off
fishing for A new pair of earbuds for your Android phone? Google Pixel Buds Pro 2 are It’s currently marked down to just $169 at Amazon$60 off its regular price. And I saw the selling price in three colors, Porcelain, hazelnutand Peonywith Moonstone and Wintergreen already sold out.
The good news is that these buds sound much better than the previous generation Pixel Buds Pro, with upgraded drivers and better processing. They have a wide soundstage, especially for wireless earbuds, which our reviewer Parker Hall says provide an “energetic and exhilarating listening experience” and handle a variety of genres with grace.
Google has made some big improvements to active noise cancellation as well, boosting it to levels nearly identical to Bose and Sony’s current top tier of ANC. It’s great at filtering out dog barking and neighbor noise; Only high-frequency sounds can avoid silence. They also have a great transparency mode, with richer sound reproduction than we’re used to seeing in compact earbuds. You’ll get about eight hours of listening with ANC on, and nearly 12 hours with it off, which beats the Apple AirPods Pro.
While a lot of companies claim to use laser measurements and careful planning of their ergonomics, they often fall short of excellent comfort, but not Google. The Pixel Buds Pro 2 are very comfortable, especially for small ears, and have no trouble staying in place, thanks to their flat, rounded shape. With an IP54 dust and moisture rating, it’s well-suited for yoga while exposed to the rain.
It works especially well with Android phones, which allow for a variety of convenience features such as easy pairing and multiple connections. All you have to do is open the case near your Android phone and it will ask you if you want to pair. The Pixel Buds offer some additional features as well, but they’re not essential, especially since the Gemini AI features are largely disappointing.
While these are great for Pixel and other Android owners, there are better options if you have an iPhone, so be sure to consult our guide and check out our favorite wireless earbuds for other options.
