Razr Ultra (2025)

There’s a lot to like about the Motorola Razr Ultra beyond its unique, compact design. The Razr comes in a variety of colors, but at least on my end, the discount is available on the Pantone Scarab and Rio Red colors. Both are instantly eye-catching and stylish, setting them apart from the jet black and space gray finishes you’re likely to find on other smartphones.

Our reviewer Julian Chokkattu was very happy with the performance improvements for this generation of Razr foldable phones. The display has also been improved over previous generations, with a smoother crease in the middle that’s harder to detect, although you can still feel it during use. It’s a large 7-inch AMOLED panel with a 165Hz refresh rate, which is great for regular use and gaming.

Of course, the big draw here is the external display, and Motorola has been rolling out new widgets and compatible apps for the smaller screen. You can quickly check the weather, control music, or interact with a variety of functions, as well as take selfies with the external camera. These features are quite unique to smartphones that flip in the same way, most of which are much more expensive.

The Razr has a host of new AI-powered features, whether you want them or not. The only mode that caught our reviewer’s attention is the “Attention” mode, which lets you record a conversation or interview in tent mode with real-time transcription and a summary afterwards.

Although we think this is the best smartphone you can currently buy from Motorola, the less expensive Razr models are also being discounted. the The basic version has been reduced by $100 to just $600in spite of The Plus model is just $100 more, with a larger $200 discount. If you’re interested in what separates the three versions, be sure to check out our Motorola Razr review for all the details and hands-on impressions.
