New England Patriots coach Mike Vrabel expressed his displeasure Monday with the number of penalties his team suffered during its 25-19 win over the New Orleans Saints.
The Patriots were penalized 11 times for 65 yards. However, the Patriots racked up 333 yards of total offense on 58 plays on nine drives.

“I’ve got a tough enough job coaching this football team,” Vrabel said in an appearance. radio wii. “There’s not a lot. It gets comical at some point. They send out these videos every week, and they do a great job. (Club communications officer) Walt Anderson does a great job, (NFL president) Ramon Jorge does a great job.”
“And they send these videos. And of course, me and Stretch (Patriots vice president of football operations and strategy, John Streicher), hang on every word. And then I’ll see something in the game, and I’m like, ‘Did they even watch the video?’ Like, me and Stretch — we pause it, rewind it, like, ‘Ah, I love these videos.’ Did you see the video last week? ‘Like, they talked about this exact thing. Stretch and I are watching them.’

NFL officiating has been under the microscope, arguably more so than most professional referees among the four major North American sports. Lately, it’s been more about determining what’s legal or illegal when it comes to the Philadelphia Eagles lining up for a payout.
