Pianist Alessandro Marter, famous for Lake Komo’s shows, plays Los Angeles
The pianist Alessandro Marter spent years to persuade local officials to allow him to play during his bugs on the sparkling blue waters in Lake Como in northern Italy, but when the exhibition – called “floating waves” – came recently to pass it, the internationally famous resort city was clearly concerned with watching.
The photos from the first concert appear to be a bit of a comprehensive romantic epic-where Martier sits in front of the surfing piano, which was designed by Italian architect Claudio Palpta from the town of Kanto, known as his literal furniture.
Watch more than 5,000 people from the beach in 2020. During subsequent performances, spectators took music from boats and jungle on the water.
“These elements – mountains, lakes and oceans – inspired the creation of music,” Martier, 32, said in an interview from his home from his home by Lake Como a week before he appeared on Sunday at the Parcedal Theater in Los Angeles. “People enjoy music in these places, and when I lead in a natural scene, music raises this moment.”
The “floating waves” Martier showed a semi -annual event, and the lake festival, which displays music, art and cultural programming of Italian and international artists, in overwhelming locations throughout the Lake Como region. Some young composers perform the iconic Lixide places, and others appear in less well-known spaces worth discovering-thinking about an illustration in a hidden villa. Martier said it helps artists often create work in dialogue with the normal and historical context of each site.
Take advantage of the strength of a certain area or a place that pushes the musical process of Marter. He played on the side of a snowy hill in the Alps, in an Australian desert at sunset, above the domo in Milan and in Charne Canyon of Kazakhstan.
The surfing piano contains both vocal and digital settings, which is the most appropriate for outdoor shows. The piano cannot be transferred to the United States, so the traditional piano will be used to play alongside females in the city Quartet lizard In an optical optical show full of expectations.
Martier said another piano is used in North America, adding that his home base will remain Lake Como at the present time, but he hopes to spend a long time in California. It is better to describe his music as the New Classic, with pop and electronic elements – and a motivation from the surrounding smoothness. The result is cinematic, and the soundtrack is part of Martier’s ammunition. His music was recently used in the documentary “OTTOCENTONOVANTASEI NUVOLE”, directed by Andrea Basili, who tracks a pandemic journey across Italy from Clusone to Palermo.
Martier learned the piano at an early age and started composing it at the age of 15. His mother was a chef and his father worked in the national railway, but the music was at home. Martire has developed the love of Schoban and also for composers in the soundtrack, including John Williams and Eino Morikon.
He continued his studies in Boston at Berkeley Music College and began to improve his voice when he returned to Italy. This sound has become completely achieved with the creation of surfing piano in 2020.
He said that the distinctive piano represents my music, my nature and the movement of different cultures. ”
Martire finds an inspiration for its institutions in many places to which he traveled and is always looking for the next amazing natural operating system in which he can perform.
The location of his dream in California? Joshua Tri National Park.
